You're gonna pay no less than 15% and as much as 25% of your TAXABLE income. Self employment pax is 15% right off the top.

Lady K and Arkansas Frost Thank this.

We put aside 25% right off the top... If its less than that, we consider it savings... Because of the 'fun' we've been having with the truck, I'm REALLY glad we did!!

Hey Petey, where is home for you? I ask because I'm from Virginia and Jeremy told me I'd be heading to SLC if I go with Central.

You're situation is different LadyK. Maintenance is a little higher but the wheels earn a lot longer than mine can by myself. If you're a team, esp. Husband/wife team, or a trainer I think leasing is brilliant. Your income goes way up but all of the money spent is a real nice write off every year so you keep more of your take home money and there's a lot more take home to keep!

You guys are absolutely right! I put way to much of my free time on here helping people and recommending a direction in which to start their careers.

With that being said... I'm out...

Petey...I start on Monday as well, but will be in West Valley, UT. But, since the rest of your training after the 2 weeks will be in UT, I should see you then. Good Luck, and HAVE FUN.

Chompi - you, along with many others, have given many valuable insights...though in the end, many people will still go their own way - human nature.

Anyway, it's been good reading your posts and I will be keeping many bits of info with me...and will maybe see you on here again every now and then??...............
