That is from my domicile agent as well. He asked me what I thought about dropping our rates so we wouldn't loose the freight. I told him let the cheap sobs have it. I won't pull it for what they are, lets find something else, so thats what we did. I did some home work, knocked on a few doors, handed it over to him and the rest is history.

Yea it does. But those low ball Agents have a hard time moving the freight on BCO trucks, so then they try ITS and Getloaded hoping to snag a fool.

And they probably will. We have one that is not to from where I live that likes to gobble up everything in site, I love it when I am at home and someone from their office calls me trying to get me take one of their cheap loads. I am always nice to them when I basically tell them I like to make money not break even. Only because they do have some accounts that pay very well.

In all seriousness !! And I've talked to a few mercer guys on here and everyone has been a ton of help . Am I barking up the wrong tree being I know nothing at all about flats and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING - NOTTA - ZERO ... I know they got a class for secure ment I get that .. But truthfully can I learn enough to get by and not make any crazy mistakes by taking a one day class ( I don't know ) it's a honest question .

I know it takes common sense to do most of it or all of it ( Flats ) I can handle that . I understand the work evolved ( no problem ) my question is based more along the lines of the investment vs knowledge meaning how long is the true learning curve for a FLATBED ROOKIE which I will be . During my transition phase can I still stand to make good money cause lets face it I'll be limited as to what I can do till I learn this sector of the industry ( loading / off loading / load placement / secure ment / Tarping / etc ... )

By being limited lets say even a month will my revenue to the truck be Completly hindered because of my limits as a new flatbedder .. I am ready to pull the trigger really quick Mercer seems top notch and the drivers on here have been a huge help I really mean that

This is just a honest question

    Thanks
