In case somebody finds this info usefull:
http://www.weweler.eu/
They make all sorts off aftermarket lift axle systems and have divisions in both USA and Canada.(thru the mothercompagny VDL)
Or you could just use their pictures to get an idea off how to build your own system(but i'm not saying to not respect their patent
)

This PDF file is very interesthing as the drawings are very good.
An before you ask................i have no sales connection with them.
Just a O/O giving some information.

The thing with aftermarket lift axle systems is the weight they add. The thing I like most about some of these home made systems is the lack of weight they would add. Less than 20 pounds.
-
Oscar, all i can say is check it out.
They are around 50lbs but work easy.
But each most do what they feel is best.
I would say it depends on how much you have to lift and lower the axle.(short hauls compared to longhaul) -
Price would be the other factor as well. I priced a system from my dealer, and installed would be around $1500, granted I have the ability to do it myself and save $200-$300 off of that.

My trailer only weighs 8,600#, so the added weight is not a big deal. When I order my new one next year, I am thinking I am just going to get the Hendrickson set-up and have it installed. Even for $1,500 it is n ot a bad deal to not have to mess with it, plus with an all alumnium trailer I'd rather have a dealer do the instal and not void my warranty.daf105paccar Thanks this.

It was at the Windsor crossing, back in 2007. I have not been back to CA since that trip.

You thinking of going with the 52 or the 60?
-
Thought we are supposed to put Eh after Canada, eh?
