RickG : where does my post say "Free Training?"
The information is from this very website.
For those starting out, it's good to have several options as a way to get started in this business and my post is just one of those options.
Seems like a few years ago I hauled many loads of tobacco out of Owensboro. Took the stuff to cigarette manufacturers in North Carolina. I think it was Owensboro.

Most people come into this thinking, I can drive a standard and I don't mind hard work. How bad can it be? Truckers make good money.
Then they get here and find out it is hard, they can't float gears while watchin their mirrors, and merging with busy interstate traffic. they've never actually done anything as hard as being away from their friends and family for a month at a time and working every time they woke up. It's not easy and we don't make anything compared to the work we put in, but if I can provide for me and mine then all is well for me. The more people that can't make it, the better my chances of getting a raise later. I'm here to stay.ladyfire Thanks this. -
Arkansas Frost Thanks this.

They said companies that provide training, but yeah I can see where that might be misinterpreted... I woke up, saw free and read the word "sheep". Then my hackles went up and I went off. Wish I could learn to leave the phone alone until I've had my caffeine fix... It's far from free. You'll be lucky to break 300 bucks consistently the first month or two. After that, if you're still around, you'll have an idea of whether or not this is for you. I think it takes a helluva lot of will power to stay out here and put up with the abuse we do or what little scratch we get, but I'll be a cranky old trucker one dy and maybe then I can explain why I stayed. Right now it just feels "right."
Gottago Thanks this. -
Arkansas Frost, I was being generous when I said .28 cpm. I really don't know what the average starting pay per mile is but at .28 cpm x 2500 miles in 7 days = $700 - cash advance of $175 =525-tax 150 leaves you with a $375.00 paycheck...
