I took everyone's advice! ( School bound!)

So you have a cdl but are taking a school as a refresher thing? Either way congrats. Starting out is the toughest part. Everyone telling you the "best" or easiest way to get in. It can be confusing. Stay focused, learn everything you can, listen and don't be afraid to ask questions. There are no stupid ones except the one you don't ask. Do not under any circumstances listen to a jerk, don't be to "proud" to get out and look around before backing, if you can't see don't back without looking! Don't get frustrated, if the going gets stressfull and it will take a deep breath, take your time and do whatever it is as safely as possible. The jerk in the decked out Pete with all the chicken lights going 50 through the parking lot is an ---. Don't be an ---! Oh, and if it isn't as easy to get the job you want as you think it might be, don't give up and quit. Put in your time starving, missing home and get your experience. Once you have it, you'll always have it. Then you do the picking of the company, you won't have to wait for them to pick you. Good luck and welcome to sometimes weird world of trucking.
