I like them really I do. 70% of the time when I go to play with one at a truckstop. I am greeted by this screen.

Looks like it needs to be rebooted. They should be turned off/on every few days. You also got to remember they do get more abuse than normal since they are there 24/7 with quite a few drivers playing with them.
Thanks,

I never see that screen on my tnd510 and I am pretty sure the software is the same or really similar. I do turn mine off every night though.

Out of memory message simply says it is out of memory. The TND does need to be turned off every few days depending on what screens you go to. If you leave it on and keep going to different screens they do get loaded into memory. Turning off/on simply clears the memory.

I know where the "bodies are buried" (so to speak) on the vast majority of GPS's that say the word "truck" on them in any shape or form. I would confirm here publicly if that message were an issue that you would see in actual real-world usage with any type of regularity on a TND720 - and it AIN'T.
Again, for what it's worth.

510 should hold about 1000 addresses on the internal memory.
Thanks,

I have the TND 510, been using it for about 7 months now, and never seen that low memory message. Mine gets shut off every night, and during weekends. Like it was stated, low-memory error messages are due to the RAM (Random Access Memory) getting too full. It is possible to get that sort of message on a laptop or desktop computer. RAM is used to make programs run faster, it is temp storage. In a PC, most programs will flush the RAM of it's bits and pieces when you close the program. When you shut the PC down the RAM is cleared.
Dieselboss and Balakov100 Thank this. -

I have a Magellan Car GPS now, I only shut it off when I leave the truck for a few days ...when I go home.
But if rebooting it solves the problem, it wouldn't seem like much of a problem..
