Have you tried applying online? One online application and they send your application to all companies you are qualified to work for, including entry level. Google will show a ton of these websites. There is NO fee for this. The trucking companies pay the website recruiters, you don't. Look at TheTrucker dot com , and Fastertruck dot com for starters. Best wishes. Also, work history, "Stay at home Dad because wife had excellent career." Another thing; when you're interviewed, DO NOT badmouth another trucking company. Put it in the past as if it never happened.

Both companies are pretty much ####. I don't know about cr but your can't lie about your work history with prime because they will want to you w2 or 1099. Your better off avoiding both companies tho. Consider it a blessing :yes2557:

Yes, lots of places Craigslist is a good place to start. If you get your cdl from a school you can get on with a lot of places like schneider, lots of places hire recent grads, the ones that don't are #### anyways.

I havent worked in almost a year, but I have been attending college. Will the lack of work history keep me from getting hired?

Attending college is verifiable. Supply your transcript for the academic year, and some schools also have employer verification forms you can order (try your Bursar's office, or Records and Registration). Sending these along with your application will make the process that much easier. Only send copies, keep the originals for yourself. You will undoubtably need them again during orientation.

    jinx0924 Thanks this.

It is my understanding that places like Swift and prime do not ask for a w-2 unless your place of previous employment is out of business or you owned your own business. I worked for swift back in 03, and the h.r. manager said they don't even call your previous employeers unless it was a driving job or it was on your dack.

Whoever told you to pay for school and look on craigslist dosen't have a clue. Any cdl mill or tech school will take you regardless of your work history, but once you have your c.d.l. You won't be able to find a job without work history as manny on this forum have posted.

I'm not sure what company you are driving for, but i've only been in this industry a little over a year and a half. It is by far, the easiest, and most profitable job that i have had in the last 10 years. Trust me on this one, the previous jobs i had were not minimum wage jobs either.
