Never refused loads. Always early for pickup and delivery. Always available. They even had me sit for two separate days but not at a fault of mine.
As for going to safety. Jeremy in Logs said it was standard practice to violate the logs when OTR. He further said he had no respect for drivers that quit and hung up on me after ip had called back to the company for clarification on my shorted pay. What a guy, needs to be horse whipped. Anyway. Ross the Ops Director said that I had to falsify my logs or be terminated and that he would not pay the guarantee rate. I never got to safety, they kept hanging up! I got to the yard because of maintenance issues and informed them that I Quit.
Wish you many a happy mile.Jeff778 Thanks this. -
You are right. Do your job, pick up and deliver on time, and don't whine, you will get along fine at about any company. The difference is, most companies these days won't knowingly and continuously dispatch you on loads that are impossible to deliver within current regulations. If you are someone who likes running outlaw, and are good at it, and never plan to quit, this might be the place for you. Or if you live in town and work local, it may work out. But if you don't want to risk running outlaw, they don't think you're "doing your job." And they will make you pay for wasting their time.
Everyone in the office seemed nice to me too, until I made it clear I wouldn't run illegally. You tend to get moved to the "other" list, and fast! But it seems that you should be safe pattyj.Jeff778 Thanks this.
