My fiance was working for a flatbed company and got fired but wrote down as a voluntary quit because as he was going up a step hill he kept down shifting all the way down to fourth gear and it was still knocking and eventually stalled so he told the trainer to take over for a little bit because he didn't know what he was doing and needed help ect they considered that a he quit but kinda forced fired anyway he got in with another company that he applied for before the company that fired him but didn't hear back from them until after he joined the other company. He got to the point he didn't like flatbed and was going into more with the new companies application during that they asked for a 10 yr work history which he left out the company he was currently working for writing down everything else he was also doing orientation at this point. A week later he was fired and finished the rest of the process with the new company where the recruiter called him and asked more abt his ten yr work history just dates ect even pulled up some he had forgotten abt and tried telling them dates but they didn't pull up the company that fired him this wwas the only trucking company he had been with. So now he is at orientation with the new company starts it tomorrow but is in the hotel tonight they left some papers and one was a dot paper asking for the last three years if he had worked for another dot job so they could pull up drug testing results ect my question is should he not mention them or should he go ahead and right down that company if so what if they bring up why he didn't say anything abt it during the ten yr work history

I have found that it is better to be up front with pretty much everything, of course I have nothing to hide. Think about this, ok they dont know now but what if they find out about it in the future? This can and probably will lead to him being fired.

Well what should he tell them if they ask why he didn't write it down on his work history or what if they see that and notice he didn't write it down then fire him for it? I don't want him to loose this company I know its best to be honest I just don't want them to fire him BC he didn't write it down in his work history. Also after getting an interview date with this company he filled out other Alps who instantly were able to pull up his work history and see tthe other company listed yet this one didnt

Tell them about it! Being fired for lie of omission is bad. Still a lie.

He should tell them but not go in to the details like you just did (no offense)... If he doesn't tell themThen he might be fired again then go threw the whole process over and most companies dont want you if you have had more than 3 jobs in the past 5 years

He should just be honest from the get go. When they find out, which im sure they will, what then? Should of just put it out there in the begginning.

They may already know and could be seeing if he's going to fess up or continue to try and hide it. He should've been honest from the beginning. Companies don't like being lied to because that makes a person untrustworthy. And suppose they wouldn't have hired him because he was fired now no he just wasted his time and could be fired from job #2 vs not getting the job in the beginning therefore not having a 2nd firing to list on his employment history.

OK so this paper is glass paper giving permission to check the DAC it has a place to list employment from any trucking companies not signing it means u don't give them permission signing it means u do so he signed it but what if he doesn't list the company just signs the paper givinf them.permission to check it if they find it the find it if not? He would be honest if they asked or she he just right it down either way he's givinf the permission to do the dac thing but also during his interview the woman mention she didn't see any companies on his dac and then she went ahead with another question and this interview was done last week. He's giving them permission to do the DAC report but is it that important that he right down the company? If it shows up it shows up they can ask but would he be in trouble for not righting it down

Do you think they'll fire him if he writes it down?
