USX drivers...how's your day??

There is. I didn't pick the load up my co driver did. They are in a Manila envelope I never thought to open it since when he called in to say we were loaded no one said anything to him about making sure on our destination. So I just woke up and drove on down the road. It wasn't until I got that phone call that I saw the destination on the bills is different. The main issue was that the lady who called was assuming that I was supposed to know the delivery destination was different because it said so in a DT message. Trust me I asked my co driver why the hell he didn't notice it. I got a stupid look and no answer. Duuhhhhhhhhh. So partial screw up on our end but we were "supposed" to get a phone call to get a verbal confirmation on delivery destination change. I was just going off our original verbal instructions. Thought we were good to go.

 

Looked back at the bills again. There is 10 different destinations on it. This load apparently is going many different directions. Jersey city is the 4th one down the list. Confusing! I hope the address it lists is the correct one cause that's where we are headed haha.

 

My load was r/p around midnight last night. I get a call at 3am but I wasnt sure if I was hearing my phone ringing or my alarm, turns out it was both but I missed the call. The lady leaves a vm saying can you please get rolling ASAP with that load BC the trk that was suppose to repower you has not moved. I'm thinking WTH are you smoking, I'm the truck that hasn't moved, the load has been gone lol...
i tried calling back but after about 15mins of listening to the 80s I hung up and went back to sleep.

When I finally crowled out of bed, I sent my FM a MSG and asked how was it looking for me getting a load out of here. He quickly responded with, they have you tagged for a repower did you not know about this. I told him the situation and was like oh, we'll they have PTA way out there so I'm going to change it to noon and see what we can get. I said ok and went to the screen to check my PTA, it said 4:30am oct 1st. So I'm puzzled as to what PTA he was looking at. Only thing I could think is didn't realize that today is the first lol. I never got a MSG saying my PTA had been adjusted so it must of dawned on him.

Im hoping to get another run in before payroll but if not I should have a little over 2k miles for the week and about 50% of those are empty moves lol so I hope they don't screw up and not pay me for them.

 

I got to my pu last night. Walk up to the guard with a pu number and a load number, thinking I had all the bases covered. Nope. He says I need a building number or product so he can know where to send me. Of course I don't have that info so I send a msg on the DT. Then I try calling the XD number. No answer. I'm on hold forever. Try calling the FM line. No answer. I'm on hold then it disconnects. Meanwhile my 14 is ticking away.

Finally the guard lets me in to try building 16. They say it's not theirs and to try 5 or 8. 8 says try 9 or 5. I hit the jackpot at 9. All this time I am still on hold for XD and nothing back from the DT yet. Now I don't have enough hours to get loaded and leave. I really should have just left when I got no answer and came back in the morning.

So I get loaded while my time runs out. They won't let me park on the property. I parked out on the street, but a couple hours later a security tells me I have to move. Somehow I managed to have an hour and a half of on duty time then so I took off and went to the Loves about 10 minutes away.

I never did hear from anyone. Now my 8 hr split is up and I'm outta here.

 

Well we are in Jersey city sitting at this rat hole of a receiver. This place is in one nasty side of town. Got here at 5am and thought they were going to unload us right away because we were told that if we called then at least 3 hours before arriving to let them know we were on the way that they would get us right to a dock and unloaded. Ya well I bumped the dock at 0950. Lol.

The fun part is going to be when I have to figure out what I'm supposed to tell USX when I can't go to this second stop they through in yesterday after this place most likely unloads the entire trailer lol. I asked the guy if they were taking everything or some stuff or loading more on and he told me he has no idea about any second stop. (supposed to be another stop for this same company). I said uhh alright then. Guess I'll figure it out once they get done messin around back there.

 

LOL, I know EXACTLY where you are and it is one scary place. (power plant across the street) We had what I thought was a 04:00 appointment and they finally got us out of there in the afternoon. The fact they made us wait on the street in the middle of the night there did not make us very comfortable. Finding the place was real fun too.

 

HAHA yep that's the place!!! I'm parked at the dock and staring right at the power plant lol. Ya when I got here this morning the guy tells me to park on the street and he would come out and knock when ready. I was like dude are you serious? Hes like ya why?? I told him I'm originally from NJ and my entire family lived/lives here in the state and I know all about this area and what kinda things crawl around here in the night. He laughed and said well your about #### outta luck and walked away. I was like hmm well this sucks lol. Ever watch the griswalds family vacation when they get in the ghetto and Clark says "lock em up". That was me this morning making sure the doors were locked haha. Ya getting anywhere in Jersey City is always a grand ol time. We get sent here everytime right before we go home. Usually get a load to here then bobtail 3 hours home since freight into NY doesn't exist even though we live within a hours drive of 4 major DCs! O and did I mention they keep sending us a PP going to Cali? Lol. I keep hitting deny on my USX phone app but they keep sending it. Sent our night FM a email asking him why it keeps getting sent to me and his response is "cause it needs to get run I've sent you a few messages asking why you keep rejecting it and have gotten no response". *insert smack head on steering wheel*. This is the same guy who has emailed me the last 4 loads because our DT is down. Heeeerrrreeesssss your sign. (Jeff foxworthy must have drove truck before and got that saying during that time! Hahaha)

 

Adkhunter I had to reset the driver tech yesterday. Called them and found out it is a company wide issue. They sent me a patch but had to wait till I stopped to reset it. You may try to call them and have them walk you through the process. At least it is working so far. I called the main number and asked for Driver Tech Assistance. Hope it gets working soon. Don't know if you were having the same issues but it might be worth checking out.

 

I plan to put mine in the shop tomorrow in Colton and my main issue my driver tech. I can see any of my macros and the original mailbox, I can't read my msgs. I didn't all of a sudden have a new mailbox that is functioning but no macros still and it keeps crashing while I'm driving in areas with no sat connection.

 

Great night, dinner at Nick's Fish House in Baltimore (LOVE that place) with Anne's Dad and we are off early in the morning to Camp Hill PA to get loaded for Fontana CA.
