Joined abut a week ago and this is my first post guys. I just bought a W900L with a 3406E 550hp 6TS in it. We don't run long haul or heavy loads.
The fuel filters on it when I bought it were a Baldwin BF7587 (secondary) and a BF1259 (primary). I want to use Cat filters instead, and want to confirm that I am using the right part numbers. I looks like a CAT 256-8753 for the primary, and 1R-0749 for the secondary will work.
For the oil filter it looks like I need either a CAT 1R0716 (standard), or 1R1808 (Hi efficiency, 2 micron) oil filter.
Are these correct?

1R-0749 is right on one of the fuel filters. The other fuel filter number 256-8753 looks right also. The oil filter numbers are right.

All my trucks have 3406's. B's and E's. I use 0749's and 0716's on everything

owned 7-8 cats over last 40 years in boats and trucks
along with detriot, izuzu, volvo
used primarily baldwin filters fuel and oil
it is the micron of filtration not the name brand that makes a difference
but if you sleep better with paying more for filters so be itW900AOwner Thanks this. -
I am not too brand specific, and there is no warranty issue here in my case. I just want to try to use filters close to 2 micron level without too much restriction. The Baldwins have been running fine I guess. Been working on cars since I was a kid. I can see that I have plenty to learn about diesels now.
