What Companies will sign on a truck with over a 300" wb?

    Yes so true!! We had certain ones that did the inspections that would call it good if the brakes or tires were just under Landstar's requirements but still had more than enough life to pass DOT. Definitely pays to remember which shops treat you good and which ones are just out for the dollar.

    WOW 378" wheelbase. Lets see some pictures. Not to many large cars that long. That's long enough to have 200" sleeper.

    Here at Mercer, they don't nike pick you or reqire on board recorders. Like old school here.
    Not saying they don't do a detail inspection of the truck twice a year. Inspections can be little hard core here also.

    I will post some pics if and when we buy it! I am gently, I guess I will call it that, nudging him that way. :biggrin_25525: It has, if I remember right, a 120" sleeper on it. I figured if we are gonna go big, then what the heck let's go BIG! I understand the inspection issues at companies and hey it is better to be safe than sorry.

    200" that is not a sleeper it is a house. But then again I would like a 240" that would mount like a 20' container and use as a RV

    If Landstar starts requiring new owner operators to install EOBR's they are likely to lose a lot of good owners. I see no need to require them before they are actually required by law. At this point the bill is not funded so they may never actually be required.

    378" WB thats a 34' truck I hope you dont plan on making any money and if you pull a box you will be paying someone to put it in the dock pretty often

    We actually had a friend go and look at it and measure it to make sure. That is the correct measurement. By the way, the friend is an o/o also. He gave us a huge thumbs up on it. Said it drove perfect and everything works!
