My cb is picking up other channels

    Only on ch 6. 15kw is the limit for the other channels.


    Just kidding. 4 watts is the legal limit for AM, and 12 watts for sideband

    No and no. But the excess RF is a good way to fry your cells. That's why the guys on 6 talk like they do.

    the problem is ,as Ms.Jamie said , someone got into their radio and tried to peak and tweek it and created the awesome over modulation problem they have.You can only crank them so much then they will splash all 40 channels. There are several ways to cure it. First is have a tech check your radio and make sure your radio is doing what its supposed to do. Second is you could buy a filter for your radio .They cost about 30.00 and the cheapest way is find them on the channel they are on and just listen to their conversation.
