God that drives me nuts seeing guys that I know never go west have chains hanging on their rack. Has the snow line reached your neck of the woods yet Mark?

at the Kwik Star off of xit 201 in Iowa.....I could have taken 18 and saved 80 miles and be in wolcott right now...but my retarded ### took 29...(well I caveat that with I still can't sleep 20 hours and had to get on a night drive schedual...plus with #### that happened over my 34 hour I have an excuse)...it only added 80 miles and really only 30 minutes to the overall trip because of the speed limit on 18 and all the little towns along the way....but I should have taken it....*facepalm*.......

My parents got a little snow shower on 494 on their way to my house for the oldest's birthday party. So, yeah. Hasn't officially snowed here yet, so my wife is holding off on the annual first-snow fudge for the time being.

    Give it a week.

So there I was cruising down the turn pike getting set up for a good day tomorrow when I hear what sounded like one of my load locks falling off the back of the truck....hmmm the trailer tire light comes on...and I pull over in an emergency lane and check it out...I have a blown inside dual.... fing wonderful....I limped it 40 miles to a service plaza in amherest and called fleet net...now I am waiting on roadside assistance to show up......(and there is a nice big hole in the sidewall..) but I am setup where I can only make my first stop....my second one in worcester I dont think is going to happen if I don't get rolling before I am out of hours.... Oh Noes.....

UPDATE....Roadside showed up...yup nice hole in the sidewall near where the recap is joined....it just gave out...and it looks like I was about to experience 2 doing it....gonna use the spare in the rack to make it by...hopefully I can get this piece back to sheldon.....
also if I do it all right I should just about be able to make it to my 1 pm appointment in worcester...

So, if you're the type that cares, us71 between kc, mo and Joplin is going to be I49 come December. I ran it today and it's an interstate in all but name. All of the at-grades are gone...replaced by exits or overpasses or just deadended. It's a nice ride.

I 90 is definitely faster, expensive though if you are using cash to pay the tolls, i'm just getting ready to get out of the house, stopped by the house after completing the motorcycle license class at Alfred state over the weekend, stopped by the truck on the way here, started right up but low coolant light comes on, added a little bit of coolant and it was fine, looks like there is a slow cold water leak from the coolant line going to the turbo, and its corroded, so no doubt its probably seeping through when the engine is cold. I'll be glad when they trade this POS in, only 70,000 miles to go for that, i swear i get one thing fixed on it, something else goes LOL. Cant imagine what the t700 is like, I've heard a lot of bad #### about that model.

I got home around 6am yesterday with a load through the house. Went to drop my trailer at my little storage place and with all the rain it sunk down and snapped the hardwood boards under the gear. So I had to leave it attached to my truck and walk the two miles home. At least the rain stopped long enough for me to get home.

This load delivers in Elk Grove Village, IL at 1300 today and then I'm back at the house. Have a doctors appointment tomorrow to have my foot looked at. I seem to have something growing under the skin in my arch on my right foot. Itches and hurts at the same time so I know that can't be good...getting old sucks.
