All they can say is you were fired. A cop didn't catch you with alcohol. I wouldn't worry about it. On your new app just say you didn't get along with somebody. Sygma won't say anything. You weren't drinking and driving. You weren't drunk. If they do, they can be in big trouble. Just go apply somewhere else. No biggie.

You file a protest with Hireright. Hireright is being sued right now by the DOJ. Lots of companies will ask you about why you were fired. You can tell them or not. To me, it sounds like no big deal. I would say and only if they ask, "I bought beer and did not think about it as anything other then bringing it home." If you stop and think about it, we haul beer in back what is the difference between that and hauling it in the front? Beer doesn't leak out of the cans and into your blood stream. What you have is a person at the company who feels that a person off the street has any business calling a complaining.

This is what I would do. If say the beer you were buying was a Coors beer. Call Coors Beer. Tell them that because you bought their product, one that you have been a loyal drinker of for X number of years, you lost your job. Not for using it but because someone objected to the possiblity of your misusing it sometime. Ask Coors to write to your ex employer and tell them that they are sorry that your excompany is ashamed of the business that Coors is in. Maybe the trucking company is just too good to do any business with Coors in the future.

As a political type, let me say F the general public. They are mostly great people but too many of them are Nazi want to be's.

Please tell me you didn't buy the beer from the place you were delivering at. Come on. It just a little scary to think if you are hired on. You will be out here driving with us and on your 10hr break you could of downed another 6 pack. Kind of scary my friend. Beer is for home not at work hope you learned your lesson. But I would feel much safer if you were digging ditches.

You can have your dac report sent to you free of charge but it takes a month or so for you to get it.People with worst things on their dac got a job.Maybe try a company that does'nt use dac like the smaller companies.

Not true. I was terminated due to almost identical situation. I've since seen my dac report and my termination is listed as "alcohol policy violation"

I had almost the same exact thing happen to me. Was broke down for a week. had a few in the hotel. threw everything in bag when dispatch called. Six months later took truck into shop. Mechanics found beer in my bookbag in storage hold, I'd completely forgotten about. I was terminated and DAC report shows termination due to alcohol policy violation. I can not get a job to save my life. also have gotten a dui since. Am wondering if you have ever found something else?
