-
mosesmiller, like i said i couldnt beleive this.......they tell me EVERYDAY that they have more loads then drivers...i think they have more loads out west then east coast....cause I live here in Vt and the ONLY load they had for me was tomorrow(tuesday 10/9) was a load from FLorence Vt going to North Carolina, I am not complaining..it gets me rolling....but seriously dont say one htig and have it be another.. i would say to the dispatcher next time he says this to me....keep your chin up, they might dead head to montville ct for a paper roll load...

Getting out of the Northeast is tough, I know. I just ended up doing a 34 I didn't need.
Keep sending a MAC 29 in every 30 minutes. Something will shake loose. -
Was scheduled to get 96hrs at home.....but left out about 8hrs early because I DID NOT want to drive from Carthage, MO to Indianapolis all night long!!!....am now sitting at the rest area just west of Indy, 22 miles from delivery and I have a 10hr break....YEAH!!!

What's up everyone. Sounds like a couple of ya are experiencing some fun times trying to get out of the NE. Shocker! Lol. We finally got home last week...late of course. Ended up having my fiancé come pick me up a few hours away so I could make the ultrasound on time. I drove 98% of the way to delivery so my team mate just had to deliver and head home so it wasn't a big deal for me to get out a little early. Found out we are expecting a little boy! I'm super happy!! Got quite a bit accomplished around the house here this weekend too. Laying water pipe down in a 5ft trench in the rain with 50 degree temps is lots of fun!
. lol. Even got a little bit of hunting in during the mornings and this afternoon for a couple hours before dark. Felt good to sit out in my tree stand listening to nothing but wind and other nature sounds. Quite relaxing. Going to go out again in the morning one last time before heading back out on the road tomorrow evening.
I got a call this morning from a lady with USX asking if me and my team mate would be interested in running a dedicated route for UPS. I guess it originates outside buffalo NY and stops in PA and then down to Louisville KY and then back to Ny. Runs Tuesday-Saturday and pays as much as we average out with running all 48 states. Apparently they need hazmat teams to run it and who live in NY. For now we will just be filling in for a team that is out on medical leave for a couple weeks but if we like the run I'm hoping we can possibly make it permanent. Would love to get home Saturday morning and go back out Tuesday night each week. I'll take all the home time I can get!! Anyone ever ran this route before? Or even heard of it? I never knew we had such a route.
Well time to turn in. 5am wake up will come quick. Hopefully I can get some venison in the freezer in the morning!! Be safe everyone!Wedge Thanks this.
