looking for a thread.

There was a thread, maybe it is on another forum? anyways, there was a guy who was in his early 20's and he bought his own rig and was working hauling freight with some brokers.. anyways, If anyone knows the thread of which I speak, could you please link it, I am still searching, but I cannot find it.

Well, like I said, there was a thread I was reading, and this guy, maybe it was you? anyways, he bought his own truck, it was a volvo (he was catching flack for that too..) said it had some miles on it, but the engine and tranny were all rebuilt and like new... then he bought a trailer, and he was going through some brokers and pulling in a a decent amount of cash each month..

Now, he may have been bragging, or maybe he was being straight up, regardless, it is an aspect of trucking I am very curious about. I am still planning on being a company driver for a few years, but maybe later on, I might buy my own rig. I want to make sure this is something I can do first..

If you dont mind, could you give me a breakdown of what driving under your own authority entails, and how you go about getting loads and all that?? If you would like, you can pm me.
