I'm almost tempted to pay the USD 150.00 fee for a full back-check on your business now, although I've got better places that money could be spent at present. Still, getting the real skinny on Fantastic Mr. Fox might be...interesting.

You sound dodgy as Hell, bru, in ways that I --and most of us, I think-- have seen many, many times before, and the fact that you're talking this up the way you are in another subforum geared towards newbies only re-enforces that.

Hate to be the one to break that to you, but you should try for more subtlety:

Not everyone is a know-nothing newb, and it generally pays off better in the long run to fleece someone more established.

The trucks and trailers of those years and model/type that are selling in that price range here are often worn-out junk, by the way. They'll pass their initial CVIP --maybe-- but come next year...?

    Eh.

(/Me chuckles) The Canadian would be me. We like irony and sarcasm, not unlike our British close-cousins. So he got his authority pulled did he?

    The plot thickens...

You lads are toooo funny ... now you got Mid the Canuck going to work the authority pulled angle ...perhaps he should write the DOT and report ,me for posting my business 4 sale on the newbies thread as everyone knows only a shady less than up and up carrier would prey on newbie drivers. LOL
This is hilarious.....I have met ol timers whom bought their 1st truck when they were 18 yrs of age and somehow made it in trucking without the handholding Mid seems to think every new driver should have. The flipside to his advice is trucking schools most of which are inefficient and let drivers out on the road that never even backed up a '53 trailer because they use the small '28 trailers to train them with which is a far cry from '53....you can always spot the newbies on the job taking 15 attempts to back er in and once in awhile hitting a trailer or ripping of another trailers door..... the companies that hire these drivers right out of truck driving school sometimes offering to pay for there school churn and burn em and the turnover rate is skyhigh....those 25% give or take whom last the 2 yrs some of these companies require in lieu of paying off school fees often get sucked into a lease program that leaves them very little $ at end of month because such a large % goes to company for lease and its usually a wore out truck that will have 900k miles on it once lease is paid off and driver is left with a real POS which was likely leased to 6 other drivers before who walked away from it because sometimes they were not given enough loads to make ends meet....enter next sucker to take his place and the lea$e machine turns and burns again. But dont take this alleged shady soul's word for it....just go to the forum thread about leasing programs swift....England...Gordon and others offer...the bad experiences are many. With that said Mid....are newbies better off forgoing the company driver path for a few years or manning up and finding a trucker who knows the ins and outs who will take them under his wing and teach them how its done and what to look out for as there are some real shady trucking companies out there just waiting for a newbie to churn and burn. DHF isnt one of them and my equipment is well maintained with Amsoil tranny fluid and CAT approved 4 star rated $9 a cartridge grease in all fittings with Chevron isosyn Delo oil every 15k miles with Fleetgaurd filter. In case you didnt know the IsoSyn Delo oil was tested in Detroit motors with 60K mile interval oil changes with minimal wear. And as for the authority / insurance incident it lasted day as once the new nsurance policy reached their database I was reinstated....Pratoreon for some reason
stopped insuring US big rigs and I had to go with another company.
What do you say to that EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ??? :biggrin_2551:
