Company Driver with American Central Transport

9/10 I picked up load in Grandview, MO going to Elkhart, IN for delivery on 9/11. It was a live load and live unload for a total of 637 miles.

9/11 I picked up a load in Kendallville, IN going to Covington, GA for delivery on 9/12. It was a live load and live unload for a total of 705 miles.

9/12 I picked up a load in Winder, GA going to two stops in Paintsville and Morehead, KY on 9/13. It was a drop and hook load and a live unload at both stops for a total of 486 miles.

9/13 I deadheaded to London, OH. I will be picking up a load in West Jefferson later which is going to Ottawa, IL. It's scheduled to be ready after 11 AM today (9/14). It's a drop and hook on both ends for a total of 504 miles. It can drop at the consignee 24/7 ASAP. They are supposed to head me back to KC for time off on Saturday. I'll have a total of 2332 miles for this week (plus whatever miles I get going back towards KC).

 

I dropped in Ottawa and also picked up a load there. T-called it earlier this evening at the KC yard which gave me another 422 miles. I finished the week with 2754 total miles. Time flies! I am on vacation this week.

 

Haven't been on my laptop lately as I got a new smartphone when I was on vacation. Will try to update you now. I've been rolling pretty well since I came back to work.

9/23 Picked up in Topeka, KS at 1:30 AM. Dropped that in Terrell, TX the same day. It was 64 empty, 501 loaded miles. It was the only load I did that week because I was off.

9/24. Picked up in Ashdown, AR at noon. It was a live unload in Hawesville, KY on the 25th. It was an open appointment whenever you showed up on that day. It was 170 empty and 601 loaded miles.

9/25. Picked up in New Johnsonville, TN. It was a live load...just show up by 10 PM. I delivered that to Kansas City, KS on the 27th at 1 AM. The forklift driver called in sick so I got 5 hours, 45 mins detention pay because I had to wait for the first shift guy to unload. It was 203 empty and 512 loaded miles.

9/27. Picked up in Kansas City, KS. It was a drop and hook. It was a live unload in Eden Prairie, MN on 9/28 at 7 AM and Coon Rapids, MN before 3 PM on the 28th. The first stop unloaded me the night before the appointment. It was 10 empty and 472 loaded miles.

9/28. Picked up in Eagan, MN at 3 PM. It as a live load that only took about 20 minutes. I delivered to Topeka, KS on the 29th at 3 PM. It was a live unload. It was 27 empty and 484 loaded miles.

9/30. Picked up a drop and hook in Topeka, KS at 3:30 AM. Dropped that in Terrell, TX on the same day. It was 501 loaded miles.

I finished that week with 5 loads and 2980 miles. Had extra stop pay and the detention pay also.

 

10/2. Picked up a live load in Waco, TX at 10 AM. Dropped that in Eudora, KS on the 3rd at 10 AM. It was 112 empty and 584 loaded miles.

10/3. Picked up a drop and hook at the ACT yard in Kansas City, MO at 11 AM. Delivered to Warrendale, PA on the 5th at 8 AM. It was 36 empty and 843 loaded miles.

10/5. Picked up a drop and hook in West Jefferson, OH. It wasn't ready so I actually took a break and picked up after midnight. I dropped that in Ottawa, IL at 9 AM on the 6th. It was 203 empty and 347 loaded miles.

10/6. I hooked a loaded trailer right after I dropped the other loaded trailer in Ottawa, IL. I delivered that live unload on the 8th to Rowlett, TX at 6 AM and Dallas, TX at 8 AM. It was 880 loaded miles.

I finished the week with four loads and 2987 miles. I have extra stop pay and 1.5 days layover pay also.

I saw the third quarter fuel report. I had 7.52 mpg for the entire quarter.

 

10/9. I will be picking up in Ardmore, OK after 5 PM today. It's going to Lincoln, AL on 10/11 at 6 - 8 AM. It is 108 empty and 731 loaded miles.

 

I've put 50,000 miles on this truck so far. It has 177K now. I've had one P.M. done so far. Haven't really had any major problems so far which is awesome. The few minor problems were...an exhaust strap broke, needed alignment on steers last time off. Had to write up the a.p.u. a couple times for the air conditioning. The bracket for the tail lights broke on each side and they put a good bracket all the way across. That's about it for 4.5 months working with ACT. Very cool!

 

10/9. Picked up a loaded trailer in Ardmore, OK. It dropped in Lincoln, AL on 10/11. It was 108 empty and 731 loaded miles.

10/12. Picked up a live load in Mt. Juliet, TN. Dropped that in Kansas City, MO on 10/13. It was 219 empty and 561 loaded miles.

10/13. Picked up a loaded trailer at the yard in KC. It was a live unload in St. Bernard, OH on 10/15. It was 585 loaded miles.

10/15. Picked up a live load in Florence, KY. Dropped that in St. Joseph, MO on 10/15. It was 17 empty and 598 loaded miles.

I ended the week with 2819 total paid miles.

 

10/16. Picked up a live load in KC, KS. It was a live unload in Elk River, MN and Cambridge, MN on 10/17. It was 56 empty and 510 loaded miles.

10/18. Picked up a live load in Greenfield, MN. Picked up the second half of the shipment in Ft. Wayne, IN on 10/19. It was a drop in Smithton, PA on 10/20. It was 63 empty and 915 loaded miles.

10/22. I will be picking up a live load in Florence, KY. I will be dropping it in St. Joseph, MO on 10/22. It will be 299 empty and 598 loaded miles.

I will finish the week with 2441 total miles.

 

10/23. Picked up a live load in New Century, KS. Dropped that in Bolingbrook, IL on 10/23. It was 78 empty and 502 loaded miles.

10/24. Picked up a preloaded trailer in Rockford, IL. Dropped that in Wichita, KS on 10/25. I was 86 empty and 650 loaded miles.

10/26. Picked up a live load in Blair, NE. It was a live unload in Green Bay, WI on 10/29. It was 315 empty and 554 loaded miles.

I only ended that week with 2185 total miles.

10/29. Picked up a live load in Neenah, WI. I t-called that load at the shop yard in Kansas City, MO on 10/30. It was 38 empty and 571 loaded miles.

I took off until 11/4.

11/5. Picked up a preloaded trailer in St. Joseph, MO. I dropped that earlier in Lexington, TN. It was 55 empty and 578 loaded miles.

I finished the week with 1242 total miles (but had 5 days off).
