Well, I left Grand Prairie on Saturday morning and am delivering in Plainfield, CT this morning. My Backhaul is picking up in Killingsworth, CT and goes to our plant in Cottage Grove, Mn with an open delivery time. I will be able to get it over there Friday morning and that will give me 3200 miles in 6 days. I will do a restart while at Cottage Grove as there is lots to do around there for recreation and I need a fresh book of hours.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I've never had a problem with the coolers, just had my first one die of exhaustion after 10 years. On the melting cord issue, make sure you are plugging into an actual 12 V power supply, my Volvo manual states quite clearly that the plug on the dash is a cigarette lighter and not a 12 V power supply. I don't really know the difference technically, but the other plugs in the truck (the 12 V power supplies) are deeper so plugs go in them deeper and stay in better. In those, the fridge plug will still get hot but not hot enough to melt (in my own experience, anyway.)

Well good news on my refrigerator/freezer front as it works well. Drove into the terminal early this morning and got a load heading to Phoenix again and dead heading back so I am at home again tonight after a 536 mile round trip so not a bad day. When I talked to outbound earlier they said there wasn't any loads scheduled to leave out of Henderson until Saturday which sucks but when I got back tonight I saw at least 4-5 trailers loaded and two in the doors so hopefully something picked up later in the day and I will have a load for tomorrow.

poly sounds good but the 48cpm what is pay and what is perdiem

Finally got the call from outbound today. Heading back to Sumner, WA for a Monday delivery. Decided to leave today (Friday) to take an easy three day trip up instead of two long days. Already got called by back haul for a load picking up in Seattle early Monday for a Friday afternoon delivery in San Antonio so back to back sweet runs.
Kind of rough running earlier tonight through the dark back roads of Nevada with rain and a greasy road film on my windshield. Stopped and cleaned it with some stuff and made for a lot easier driving.
Steamed up some broccoli, squash and salmon for dinner. Some good eating. Really loving my freezer/fridge combo and nuker
Got to organize that top bunk tomorrow as I have the microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot and a crap load of food and various other things loaded down up there.

Thank you guys for all the detailed updates, makes me jealous. Also quick question to Majestyk: what do you use to best retain that stuff on the top bunk? I'm in a Prostar, and there's so little storage under the bed, I need to do the same thing. I remember years ago I bought one of those tailgate webbing things for pickup trucks and rigged that somehow. But I have been away from trucking for several years and forgot the tricks. Thanks

Arrived at Cottage Grove MN yesterday and turned in my paperwork for the week. Total of 3303 miles since Saturday morning. Outbound called me and it seems as if they were slow on freight, so I took a load going to Effingham IL that delivers on Monday. I am suddenly faced with a 34 hr reset up in Cottage Grove, so I think I will spend Saturday over at the Mall of America and start my Christmas shopping.

Pay for all drivers at Poly is .48cpm off of the hub. Per diem is $59/day when you are away from the house. We also get $30 stop pay after the 2nd stop on a trip.jdrentzjr Thanks this.

Yup....took that precaution. I'm just done with 'em. I can live without it. I need to change my diet to fresh organic grass and water anyway.....
