This recharging of the batteries issue is really going to be interesting this winter. I wonder how many drivers are going to get frostbite? We all know that the slowest months for freight are January and February. It's not uncommon to sit for long periods of time waiting for a load or delivering a load. Who knows where you will have to end up sitting and how long you will have to sit there. Last new years I was stuck in Owensboro, KY for over 34 hours. There really is nothing there other than a few hotels and one crappy truck stop with little services, if any.

Sitting in Troy IL at the Pilot waiting to make a morning delivery in Belleville IL. After that I pick up another load tomorrow after noon and then off to the AutoZone DC in GA for a Thursday delivery. Gotta love the deliver anytime with the drop and hook loads.

I saw the info sheet at a Walmart DC showed it to another driver he wanted a copy to take and give to his daughter that way if he got frostbite or heat exhaustion he can sue. Also did u see they advice not to use your cooler. The biggest to drawers are cooler and cpaps machines. Going to b fun for sure.

There IS a way to keep the truck from shutting off during a 34 hour reset or whatever your doing while parked. It requires a bottle jack and some jack stands. Simply jack the drives into the air and place the axle on stands. Then start the truck, put er in 10th, and then set the cruise to 55!!!@@@!!!!@! :)

they calculate the oor from the mcp200 they can read the miles on your truck and deduct what the load pays from actual driven miles.

OOR miles are calculated in two ways. The old way was they totaled up all the dispatched miles in the quarter and then compared that to the odometer and came up with a percentage. The new way is for the computer to look at the Navigo directions from every dispacthed locatiin and compare it to actaul miles ran. Done the first way my OOR is 6%, done the second it's -24%. Talk with your dbl about which one he's using for your bonus.
