I can run heavy from Charlotte to Columbus Ohio in about 8 hours going up 77-64-35-23.
From Dayton maybe 9 hours.......If that helps any..
I think you can make it.

I only use split for emergencies, rather call dispatch and tell them the load will be a little late then again I am never late with my loads so never have to call. Paper logs for years now on elogs. A load is only late if you dont get it there, for the remainder of the time there is the telephone.

Safe driving is your responsibility and I can assure you, your company will not finance a fine for violation of DOT regulations. Yes, follow the rules and, in this case you will be late for your delivery through the fault of the shipper, not because you did anything improperly. When I was driving for CRE, they had a placement chart based on pallet quantity that distributed the load uniformly. Ask about it.
The fact is, you did the right thing,... you kept it legal. It's your license you're operating on and no-one else cares if you loose it because you choose to 'do a favor' or push your luck. Good on you for staying legal. The shipper doesn't get fined if you are overweight, you do. Stay legal and remember who's license your driving on.

You can drive 11 hours for 10 hours of line 1,2 or a combination thereof with neither break being less than 2 hrs. If you trace back your sleep time, you will also note what drive time you had and also noting what you have left in your 14 or 70. Whatever time you show on line 3 during that 10 hrs rest; subtract that from the 11 hours and that is what you will pick up as long as you are not in violation of your 14 or 70 hr rule.

I'm not really a big fan of split breaks as a solo driver. I don't know what the status of your current load and appointment is but I can tell you that the money I made doing this to keep a dispatcher happy is the change I have in my pocket. Word from the wise; If you used your 14 hrs, my advice is to call it a day and get some rest. Tomorrow is another day.

If your dispatcher complains about changing the appointment call the receiver yourself. Most dispatcher have just seen the inside of a truck they never have actually driven one. It is the closest they will ever come to being a real driver is sitting at a computer.

Well....I made it to Nytro, WV and my truck started acting up....Check engine, Stop engine, Oil lamp, alarm.....same thing that happened a few weeks ago when I lost the fuel pump and the water pump.....checked everything over, shut the master off, turned it back on, and was able to run a little ways before it all happened again. Stopped at the Pilot, called the Detroit engine place, went over there but they couldn't get me in....so I ended up in Beckley where I shall sit until they can look at it tomorrow.......this happened a total of 4 times, but there was no problem at all for the 60 miles to Beckley.

Buy DDL and put it on your laptop... you can "pre-plan" a split sleeper and see the resulting hours.
