Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

You guys want reviews on gold spur? Google Search "Golden Spur Forum" and read what you come up with.
trucker43 Thanks this. -
You don't have to be sneaky, just post a link!
It's a city-data forum.
Those posts there are just as old as the ones here. I think the members get the jest of things. The company sucks.

I'm not trying to be sneaky. I was too lazy to go search it copy and paste the link.

My husband is a trucker and I have been researching his job offers for him because he is on the road all the time. My research thus far has shown me that wages in North Dakota are higher because of a the hiring boom that is there. There is also a housing shortage so rent is sky high there. I am still researching but so far what I have looked up about Gold Spur seems to be good. My husband has a job offer there that will increase our income to twice the amount it is now. Of course I am still doing my research so I can't say yet if this is the move we will be making. We currently live in NW Florida...so it would be a drastic move for us.

Have you ever lived in a REAL winter state? Man talk about a change. Winters in ND can't be explained and they are best to never be experienced.

Shoveling 3 feet of snow with 30 mph winds and below zero temps will change a southern man's mind real quick!

One thing I learned up north is point the snow blower chute with the wind, not against it, lol.
I couldn't run back to TN quick enough.aiwiron and BigBadBill Thank this. -
Norh Dakota in the winter?
Oh h-e double hockey sticks no. -
I grew up in Fargo until 2005. It will rest your fortitude.
