Yes sir, I believe we do. You can call recruiting to make sure, but the northeast regional is our big money maker so I don't see why they would say no. Now that I think about it, my trainer does recruiting trips in NJ.
H.O. Wolding is a GREAT company!

Do they still run you south (instead of through Denver, Co) but NOT pay you the extra 100 miles to do it? I know that was a concern a few years ago. I also heard they sell their tractors to Mexico and Africa because their is no market for them in north america. Seems odd to me if it is true.

A lot of companys tractors go South of the Border
When HOW recruited at my school in new jersey
living within 25 miles of NJTP was a requirement
I suppose where to park the truck was the issue -
My point about their trucks leaving North America is that they will run those trucks past a million miles so expect to sit in a seat (and equipment) that has over 800,000 miles on it. Huge comfort difference between new equipment and older equipment. Long story short, I heard the original owner was great to work for but his kids (that now run the show) are bean counters. Expect basic / no thrills from this company.

Yes, they do route us south when we run out to Cali but i have never had an issue not getting paid those miles. I personally choose to take 80-15 because there's more places to fuel or if I ever needed something fixed and it's just as fast as the southern route. All I do is tell my dispatcher I'm doing that and he switches my fuel solutions and routing accordingly. When I do that, my paycheck will show my fuel stops on that particular trip.
As far as equipment goes, you're right, they do run them past a million if they can but I'm not complaining because my truck has yet to cost me any money sitting in the shop and it has 1.2 million on it. Do I wish it had an APU? Of course, but more than a consistently solid paycheck? No way. Barring catastrophe, I'm going to clear $50k pretty easily in my first year and you need miles to run and reliable equipment to do it in if you're going to make any money, period. I'm never sitting long enough to really need one anyway and it seems to me that drivers before my time survived with just the basics, it makes for less things to go wrong in my opinion.
While other drivers may want all the bells and whistles, Wolding is a perfect fit for me and that's all that matters. I've got an awesome dispatcher who gives me miles to run and gets me where I need to be when I need to be there.
As for today, I picked up an MT in Omaha after getting a reset in and deadheaded down to Kansas City, KS where i dropped and hooked with a load that I'm t-calling at the yard where I'll get some chains for the winter. Getting my 10 in tonight in Belmont, WI.Kutina Thanks this. -
Speaking of the owner, today is his 100th birthday. Still comes to the yard on a regular basis. Happy birthday H.O.! There's a big ole poster they everyone has been signing here at the yard for him.
Turns out I still have to deliver this load in Oshkosh tomorrow morning. No big deal, gonna get layover pay out of it plus there's a better chance of getting something long going out west than today so all is good.Kutina Thanks this. -
After I drive tomorrow morning I'll be heading down to Oconomowoc, WI to pick up a load that delivers in Hurlock, MD for the 16th that I'm going to tcall somewhere out there. From there, I'll head up to Spring Grove, PA and pick up a load that I'll deliver in Green Bay on the 16th. It's not west, but it is good miles, and I do love rolling down the road. Stay safe all.

Made it to the last service east bound service plaza early this morning and shut it down. Was told to just tcall this load where I'm picking up my load going back to Green Bay so another drop and hookwhen I get to Spring Grove, PA. Be safe all.

spring grove must be that paper plant
dont see that there would be a town there otherwise
kinda of a pain with the bridge out
i like how you get there late at night just sign your bills and go never even see anybody -
Never been there before but yes sir, I'm picking up a load of paper going to RR Donnelly. We have quite a few places where we just sign bills and get out of dodge.
