My opinion on Swift is not concerned with you as a driver in any single area.

Hello, I'm thinking of being a company driver for Pride Transport. I did a little over a year with Crete and just under a year with Knight dry van. I took some time off the industry and now I miss it.

I have the following questions. Any help is appreciated.

    1) Does Pride use electronic logs now?

    2) Is the pay fair in terms of representing the actual driven miles?

    3) What is their idle policy? Are the tractors equipped with APUs?

    4) What is the bob tail policy. Let's say I drop a trailer at a company approved spot and want to bobtail to do some shopping. Is that allowed?

    Thanks very much.

    Pride does have electronic logs.
    Pay is consistantly on time.
They do have trucks equiped with bunk heaters. And dont say alot about the trucks running for ac. As far as use of your truck to and from stores they follow the 30 min regulation or pc to the nwxt safe haven kinda thing.

I have been thinking of this company and all my questions are answered except what speed are the trucks governed. It may not matter to some but it does to me

Yes, you have 30 minutes of driving and it must start and end in the same location, once every 24 hours.

    TheOpenRoad and socal Thank this.

By same location, do you mean same zip code or exact physical location? Thanks

Haven't needed to test that part out yet lol. I've wondered the same thing but never bothered asking since running team and the run we have, hours are never a problem and I don't even bother. Only used it a couple times. I figure they'd tell you the exact location whether that was true or not.

    TheOpenRoad Thanks this.
