What do you mean by Aclass straight trucks? Do you mean class A? I wouldn't think so. Class A would be combination vehicles not straight trucks. Maybe you meant something differant. If you clarify, maybe someone can help.
-
class A + combinaion vehicle. no...?
-
I say again , Class a Vehicle = combination vehicle. No...?
-
lol..o i thought maybe they had straight trucks where u would need an class A..guess not.
-
No, a straight truck only requires a CDL B license. -
Am I having a "senior moment" here or what?
Class A = over 26000 lbs, whether straight or combo. NO????
All redimix trucks require Class A. Most dump trucks require Class A.
If you are driving a bobtail van or flatbed that is capable of grossing over 26000 lbs you need a Class A.
-
From www.dmv.orgIt seems to be the change from a B to an A occurs at 10,001 lbs. WHEN TOWING. So the B is only good for a towed COMBO of less than 10K lbs.
You gotta have a class A for TOWING. A B license is good for any straight truck application, even mixer trucks and dumps. -
OK, thanks. Guess I have finally lost my mind. Now where the hell did I leave it. . .

Don't panic, it happens to all of us.
