Ah, so many well-written and thought-out posts to an OP who probably can't comprehend them...
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Perhaps so, but I think we choose different words in our wordy posts. That was my condensed version.
Truth be known, I wasn't sayin' that, or even thinkin' it. But now that you've brought it up, I'm not going to deny that might be right. I'll give you the credit for pointin' that out.As were many of us, once upon a time.
I assume a "life experience" would include Big truck truck drivin'? If so, with all due respect, by your own admission you lack any life experience in Big truck truckin', a wannaBee, providing pep talks of encouragement to Thasickzda, (the original poster)Wouldn't that "reality" really be imagined? Or am I missin' somethin' here?Desperate maybe?
Layin' it all on the line?
Last dollar ridin' on a hard twelve.
Roll the dice, ---------------- no other choice?
Those are the ones who seem to be favored by CRE, ..... and fail, .... after puttin' it all on the line.
Personally ushered out off the property by armed guards in Salt lick City.
That's gotta make 'em feel special.
Probably the ones Dewey sees outside lookin' for a ride back home.
Stone cold broke.I understand and appreciate your intentions.
If Thasickzda decides to take the gamble, knowin' what to expect, that information could be useful. If the OP stays in touch, they'll have my encouragement to make it work. Too often though, they just disappear. I desperately want to read their 'I-Told-You-So's'.Define "happy" --- and for how long? Those odds (98 to 2) look bad, but considerin' what the ultimate prize is, --- it's worse.
Let me illustrate it like this, ....... an all expenses paid two, with options on another two weeks, luxury vacation somewhere y'all really wanna go.
OH!
Did I mention two new cars to drive, your choice, and plenty of spendin' money too. For the rest of your life.
A deal offered only to the first one hundred who apply for the experience.
One small catch though, ..... only two of those one hundred will survive the crash, 98 won't.
But the two who make it still get the vacation.
Cars broke down and check is in the mail.
Feelin' lucky? You might be right, ............... I guess.
Informing and discouraging, and questioning, some get the point. Others don't come here to hear the point of what they'll likely see there, rather, they come for support, -- encouragement -- well wishes -- good luck -- and find it.
But they're usually MIA for graduation congratulations.
If I offered a git-er-dun, encouragin' word, I'd feel I had something to do with them making a decision I consider to be a huge risk. I want to avoid that feeling. -
Speakin' of the OP, whar'd 'e go?
Ain't been 'round fer a week.
Guess 'e didn't hear whud 'e wanted ta hear here.
Ya reckon.

I was planning on going to CRE. I read the post understood all the neg and was willing to take a chance. Unfortunatley I had a family ikssue come up and was unable to go. I am still planning on going to school I am however looking into Swift. I know they have issues too but I know a few people that just finished school and it went ok. I also checked out Prime but they said a year and half for a woman due to a shortage of female trainers. Swift requires you to come with your permit already, not a problem for me I already have a class B with airbrakes so I only have to go take the comnination portion of the test. I have studied and ready to take it Monday! Good luck with whatever you decide.

I too had my class B and my class A permit going to the swift school in Richmond, VA to get my CDL A. I was trained by a woman, they seemed to have plenty in 2006 or 2007 I don't recall the exact year now.
Swift was a better thing than England by a long shot as far as the schools go. I didn't like working for them at all for two reason the Dollar General dedicated route I was on had way too many stops a day, unloading took time that wasn't compensated very well either. The second reason is I was told to fake my logs constantly, and when I went to safety they said basically that's how it is.
With elogs and CSA scores, I doubt there would be too much pressure to fake logs now, you can't fake but so much with the elogs, so it isn't usually worth it except to wave some hours on your 70. Also, don't work the Dollar General dedicated it isn't worth what they pay you.
Not saying swift is great, but they sure are a more solid company than England.CraZyMotherTrucker Thanks this. -
I love the way you stated this since it is so true.sdlm Thanks this.
