    Hey Guys,
im just wondering if its possible to get into trucking?
like if somebody of you offers maybe year round trucking position including training and so forth.
I'd be available by next year and be pleased for some answers about the
circumstances and availabilties or if its even possible to get a foreigner to work for you etc.

I'm a german citizen. I lived in canada in 2011 and did some labour work on farms and ranches. Im experienced in operating combines, grain carts and various field / yard work.

    References and Resume upon Request.

    Thanks in advance.

PS: I dont want to offend anybody, if you feel that way just let me now by telling me that via pm. thank you :)

I'm no expert on Canadian immigration law, but I would think you would want to start by figuring out how to emigrate to Canada. I doubt anyone will offer you a job in trucking until you are here and have the proper license. If I was you, I'd figure out the shortest route to becoming a landed immigrant, go to the oil patch and work whatever job you can get and work on getting a class 1 license from there.

    Good luck

Yep...kindersley, yankee, H&R....they are all dirty carriers who are helping to drive the freight rates down by hiring these european drivers, locking them into a contract for sponsorship and paying them next to nothing...I hope these scumbags go broke soon and leave the freight to the guys who can do an honest days work for an honest days pay!

I appreciate it, but its a true fact. Sad but true. Worst part is that the gov't subsidises these greedy outfits and guess where that money comes from? We are paying taxes to help ourselves get a rate cut...that seriously annoys me...

Nillz, dont take this personally, I was not directing this at you in anyway shape or form. Its just that these big greedy corporate outfits are doing this and it makes it very tough out here for the average joe to make a descent living anymore...
