I would't worry about getting chewed, its not your fault they are too lazy, anyhow i'm glad to get this disaster of a trip over with, when i picked this up in waynesboro, it didn't have an appointment set yet according to the load sheet josh gave me, just a verbal "probably 7 or 8 am" and that was it before he ran out the door and went home early. Come to find out when i check in next morning it was already set for 4:30am but was told they "forgot" to put it on the load sheet. Basically, it made for an iffy delivery eta from the start after spending 2 ho urs the night before trying to get the dome light in this truck working so i could have some light to see with when i woke, awfully hard to see what i got left for clothes when digging around in the travel bag. Checked in last night, told them it'll be 0430-0500 before i get in, naturally they both freaked out and thought i told them 4:30 pm, obviously those 2 dont listen very good, got a hold of sheldon and was told try to get in there around then. Not long after that, my rhs mirror starts rattling loose...wtf?? Was looking good for 0500 until i hit the construction on 294 and 90.....one big construction zone with 45 mph limit and lots of cops watching, made me 15 minutes later still. Not a happy camper with waynesboro this week. Going to grab a run for laurens, ia after this, still no appointment set for that either.....i'm gonna have to bite someone's head off on the phone today.

 

Supposed to launch again today and planning on staying out till the 28 or 29th. Never got a load offer yesterday so it'll be the waiting game this morning which is starting to become the norm when I relaunch from my house. Need to be worked through Sheldon as well for service since my A service is overdue about 3k miles. I got the dreaded phone call from Andy last week....LOL!

As for Waynesboro, think I might need to have a chat with Sheldon as well. Have not been happy with some of the scheduling on back hauls lately.

 

I called in this morning and said there was no way this was getting to lincoln by midnight....mostly because of americold jacking me around....told dale the best is early afternoon tomorrow because there was no way I could make 822 miles by midnight.......

I drove as far as I could last night....when I finally reached a plaza with a parking spot I went to sleep...I was so fing tired I was starting to see ####.....this doing favors and sitting thing has got to stop....I will end up killing someone if not myself........si es no bueno.... not good at all........dale didn't sound like a happy camper when I told him...but I told him no load out there is worth my life....I will run and run but I will only do it safely...this isn't the old days....fines cost me real money....and Fatigue driving goes against me.......so I am not risking it at all....NO MORE!!!

 

Finishing up a 34 at the house. Got the call from Cory will be heading to California sat morning sounds like a 5 stop load starting in okc and finishing in so Cal. Hope you guys have a good and safe weekend.

 

Doing a 34 in Nashville while waiting on a load out of goodlettsville. This is intentional. It was this or something cheap and brokered...and David didn't want to do that. I appreciate that, and with only 15 hours to use between now and 0001 Monday, a 34 and a slice of layover is about as well as I can do. Plus, when I do leave, it's Tyson style revenue.

 

I guess now I can say I am technically home...LOL.....I am at the hotel in sheldon....truck is in the shop for a water leak that developed around the water pump....hopefully getting a 34 cause my hours are horse #### right now.....but Leah put me on a great paying load to ST Louis...with 3 stops on monday...

so that gives me time to go apartment hunting tomorrow...(well I am going to go look at one anyway....its the right price...465 a month...just hoping there are no six or eight legged critters...or any critters for that fact....) I leave out on the 22nd to go to Florida and collect what things I have left of mine and bring them back home to Iowa.....so things are looking UP

 

Grabbed my trailer for front royal out of sheldon after getting my light and mirror fixed, hoping to get toward home after this, got to turn my m-class learners permit and test waiver card into dmv and get my license, and then i will be able to haul the quad-wheeler into the dealership for appraisal, plus with the license hopefully i can test ride a couple of spyders, maybe one with the manual tranny and the electrohydraulic semi-auto, though i'm still leaning toward the manual.

 

got a new water pump on the truck....I even got her washed....so she looks nice now anyway...lol...

 

Got mine washed too, did a lot better job than those clowns at eddies! Lol

 

I washed her myself cause I was bored.....I noticed I left some streaks...maybe I should work at the streakin beacon....LOL....no really though she looks pretty......

In other news...I now have a place to live...in Hospers...the price was right for rent and its big enough....I am really looking forward to movin in...I have the keys in hand....
