You wont pass the Texas state safety inspection if you do. It requires the inspector to check for mufflers.
txnewbee Thanks this. -
Darn it good thing i asked first lol
-
Wonder if Texas requires mufflers on Harleys before they're licensed...pure crap.
-
Is that for TX based trucks? Or am I just lucky?
Can't they just write "N/A" on the muffler check box? -
Just put straight pipes on and put a muffler on underneath and gut it out
-
Im not sure about Texas, but in VA DOT man at scale told me that they do not care about out of state trucks, but VA trucks would know better so they bust them about it.

There are no states where straights are legal... Grand Rock has straight pipes with inserts.
Keep in mind that you have to consider your hearing too.alaga Thanks this. -
Agreed!!!!!!

You can put inserts in just about any of them nowdays. I've got 8" dynaflex with inserts in them. Like them well. not to quiet and but obnoxious either. Can still cruise with the windows down. Before putting the inserts in I couldn't stand to drive with the windows down
