it's a '12 Cascadia, trainers truck with the extra bunk....i guess they have extras what with the exodus of trainers im hearing about. still kickin #####, getting mad miles this week!
Airborne Thanks this. -
is it right that they give alot of homework during phase 1?
-
How many days of OTR training did you get in Phase 2? Was it sufficient? It seems like Roehl has the shortest amount of time in OTR training.
-
It is short, maybe too short. They do a little more comprehensive training before you ever get out with a trainer than most,DaytonaDoug and Nottoway Thank this.

That's what I've assumed. Their longer orientation/phase 1 training is a very attractive feature to me. Hopefully it brings newbies up to speed with the fundamentals. I'll just have to trust that the fact Roehl is indeed a training company is evidence that the Phase 2 training is at least adequate.
Thanks for the comment! -
I've trained 5 guys that went through the phase training and they came out of phase 1 with a really good grasp on the fundamentals. I feel like most of them could have started out from phase one and went right to work. Phase 2 is for polishing skills and also to do the job, but also have someone there if you need them.Nottoway Thanks this.

so what's phase 1 really teaches you backing ups, maneauvering, logbook, accident report and stuff like that, because I heard it is hard they give alot of assignments i dont what is it all about really.
-
There is alot of home work... you will be at class 8 hrs durring the day then go back to the hotel to do 2-5 hrs of home work its a lot of work and you may think its dumb but its really good stuff looking back on it now durring it
