I can only testify to the expunged part. My nurse friend her attorney said it was expunged but it really isn't. I would tell since honesty is the best policy. her's was a assault on her husband. Furtherfore , she even paid extra money to have it expunged. In the truck driving world I don't know if the penalties are the same.

Driving 3 months now... today ugh what a shi$$y day. I hit a decorative pole stood about 2.5 feet tall. Police was called i take my job very seriously.
TOOK ALL THE ROAD I COULD and still hit it. With that said the officer did not give me a ticket, but of course an accident report was filed. my question(s) is this. Will that accident go on my record? CSA points ? cop said the roads were not friendly to trucks .... another guy who saw it said they just fixed that same pole last week wtf? so its been taken out before....... and i know im a better driver then that..... so aggravated right now. If a ticket is not issued will the accident go on my DOT record?
thanks young(aggravated) trucker -
While I was working for Greyhound Bus Inc, I recieved a citation for wrong lane change, the court date was changed and now it won't go to trial until Dec. I am in trucking school now and will graduate in 2 wks. When I pulled my driving record from the DMV it wasn't on it. I have a 30 yr clean record. I applied to Werner and told them about the pending court date, they refused to hire me. My question now is should I tell the next company about the ticket, If its not on my record?

I'm not surewith dot but it is a paper trail that can always be followed. if it was me i'd call the dot and ask them they have to have some type of forum just like truckers do. you can always talk to a lawyer for free. The second thursday of the month in Texas you could call and ask all kinds of legal questions for free. I called the court house and got all of the info from them. I'm not sure if they still do it but it's worth a try.

I have some questions regarding prior license history. I apologize but
this will be a long post. I want to drive a truck and am a responsible person
now but was not always. In the 80's I got 4 DUI's. Two in Arizona, one Colorado,
one Georgia. Yes I was stupid for both driving drunk and not paying the
consequences. So here goes. Please note in the 80's license info was not
nationwide.
When I got the AZ DUI's(1984) I held a CO license (I was stationed in
Yuma). When I got out of the Marines my CO license was still good, I ended up
going to PA and stay with mom awhile and got a PA license. Later I moved back to
CO and got a license there. And the DUI (1987).So license gone. I went to GA and
got a DUI (1989?) though that one was kinda bull**** but I take responsibilty
for it.
I ended up moving to Charlotte, NC and did not have a license for many
years. I did finally manage to obtain an NC drivers license by cheating and
shear luck. I kept that until I forgot to renew in 2006. Then my past caught up
with me. I could not get another. Due to having to make a living (residential
construction) I continued to drive and got multiple driving without a license
tickets. All came from my trucks expired registration because of the "check
engine light" not being able to pass inspection and me never having the money to
fix it. Kick me sorry I was broke.
I ended up moving back to CO in our then/current recession and due to a
death in the family had the means to try to clear up my license. And what a
trial it was. All of my own doing from younger dumber days but it was not easy.
When I traded my CO license back in 1986 for a PA one they found out I was
suspended in AZ. They mistakenly sent the "ok license suspended here" to
Arkansas. In the 90's I tried to fix all this but it seemed futile. I eventually
got an NC license. I was unable to renew it in 2006 and between 2006-2010 I
received several tickets for driving without a license.
I moved back to CO and due to an inheritance I was able to clear up
everything to be a legal driver. It took money and time. AZ made me jump through
every hoop in the book for a 1984 offence, PA would not clear me until Arkansas
did and vice versa (I was on this for years, finally I got a person who saw the
Catch-22 thing). Paid all my reinstatement fee's and have finally had a clear
license everywhere as of January of this year.
So there it is, my main offences back in the 80's. Driving without
license/expired tickets up until 2010. Though points are gone on those (I think)
still within 5 years. I don't want to do construction anymore. 20 years of
framing is enough for me. Will my 80's dui's show up? Will the driving w/o
license tickets in NC be relevant or even show up if I have a CO license?
Thank you for any advice, Kindle -
