All you need to do is keep your heel on the bottom of the pedal and lightly apply pressure at a sooner time than usual until you get the feeling of how the brakes are adjusted in that truck.

I am wearing a day-hiking boot style with a composite toe (used to work in food service industry ... we were almost running all day!). I have been asked to buy real boots and most guys wear loggers (one of our facilities requires a "defined heel"). I can just imagine how well I'll drive in brand-new, unbroken logger-style boots!

I focused on your approach today and it went a lot better. I still reverted to habits learned on hanging brake pedals when stopping for cutting four-wheelers, etc. But when I could think about it, what you suggested helped a lot! Thanks!!
