Ok, a couple of weeks ago the truck went down.. She wouldn't finish a Regen and ended up derating me. Got towed back to Buffalo and ended up being in the shop from that Thursday all the way until the following Tuesday evening.. Least to say, i didn't get a pay check for the following week (had no loads to turn in). Well this paycheck hits so i tell my wife to go get my pay stub so i can make sure i got everything i was supposed to get (hotel reimbursment, BDown, Tolls). Sure enough they paid me everything that was owed to me, but that darn health insurance!!!! OMG, since i didn't get a paycheck last week, and it started the 1st Oct, they took it twice from this pay check.. Man that stuff is almost $200 a week for family coverage ($166 + $5 for dental). That's a huge shock coming from Knight where it was only $90 for Health, Dental, and Vision..

I know if i need a liver they better have one on the counter waiting for me when they wheel me into the room, #### near $200 a week they betta have a stripper in there to so i can watch some nipples while they work on me. I hope the dental is good, cause i'm sure gonna get some teeth pulled and some braces.

Now i have to recalculate the number of miles i have to run a week to make $900 now that the health insurance is coming out..

Mitchtazz, good luck and welcome to another "great perk" of working for the River. Don't feel bad, the single guys there only have to pay $88/week for their coverage! And you do know that unless things have changed drastically in the last decade, you won't see 2 weeks paid vacation until your 5-year mark. What a deal! LOL

    #### is wild... in orientation they said it's a week after a year, and it's only $700...(i think). over at Knight it's what ever you averaged for the year.

Dang, they bumped it a little haha. When I was there back in '03 we got $500 each for vacation pay and an annual safety bonus, on top of a whopping .32 loaded/.24 empty, and the insurance was still overpriced back then (just a little cheaper).

Just funny that almost 10 years later they've only raised the pay to .35 starting out, progressing to .38 after three years. :biggrin_2559:

Had not heard of that. Maybe they try to get people set up for the weekend with a back to back run.

How are things going otherwise for ya?

Something all the farm groups have setup, meaning the loads are there but they are not sure where they want to send them. Three are a few that might show up early. Normally want get anything until 5pm
