I'm guessing someone got a little speed up before they hit the end of the tow sling.

Saw a similar thing a little over a month ago on a jobsite in northern Manitoba... busted the front-end off a Peterbilt pulling it on a sandy road.

What made you decide?. thats what I got offered as well. while its not as much driving, the work sounds far more interesting to me than a vac job.

It just doesn't make financial sence for me. If I wasn't working then I would do it..but I would probably make just as much doing what I do now between nov. and march once you factor in expenses.

also a lot of people I talked to about this feel it is gong to be a soft year for drilling so bonus $ might not be there.

that said, what doesn't work for me might be good for another.
I wouldn't bother moving family out til after your first season anyways. Not like you going to be around much anyways, and then have to pay rent for them too.

    Temp. Nov to march 30

$175 a day to a max of $3500. $750 to get out there, $750 to get home in the spring.

First 2 months are double bunked hotel in Nisku for training. So no job bonus which is 1.5% of the job ticket.

After training they put you up in hotel or camp.
15/6 rotation and they kick in $1000 to pay for a pad the rent on days off ( or go home)

everything is taxable and no benefits since it is temp.

my current salary is more then their base by a fair bit, plus I'm home with full medical/dental.
