You will have to take your tractor to a company that has a Walmart account. There's bunch of them, which Oscar the KW mentioned a few. I know a few that leased on to Greatwide's Walmart account and do OK.

My guess would be that he is better off where he is at currently than with Greatwide on a Wal-Mart account. That is based solely off the trucks I have seen leased to either company.

A lot of lease ops like to call themselved owner ops.
They are confused as to there actual ops status.
Leased to walmart account. Yes. But owner op for walmaet. Doubtful -
Walmart tried this in '06 and the union flipped out. In '08 the new contract places penalties for Walmart using anyone outside of Union drivers to deliver to stores from a DC (with a bunch of exceptions for peak times, etc).

i talked to co here in tn that hires o/o for refigerated distrubutionand drivers said the same. they run routes basically that has multible stores and runs get back daily, after exspences the trruck averages 1000.00 take home a week not including your maintance and repair cost. you can make more by working extra runs when they are busy or someone cannot cover thier run. all night time and hardley ever ready at departuretime. tipical walmart
