Well you were right about it being a bit of a pain to get to and it being dark didn't help any. Dropped my loaded trailer and my load going to Green Bay will be ready in the morning.

Made it to Perrysburg, OH before I shut it down for the day. Ended up having to go up to Camp Hill, PA to get an MT earlier today so that I could get loaded because for some reason or another the shipper decided to load our other trailers with loads that were scheduled to leave a couple of days after mine. Luckily the trailer in Camp Hill was MT which the dispatcher didn't know, only knew that there was a trailer there but I didn't really have to much to lose so I went up and sure enough it was. It was good to have that weight in the trailer because it was wicked windy coming across 80 tonight.

On another note, great win for the Pack tonight. I think this is going to be the turning point of their season... hopefully. Be safe all.

It's official! The world is coming to an end! There was a 4.6 magnitude earthquake just west of Hollis, ME where we pick up a lot of our water. Not something you hear happening to often up in Maine. My parents said that the house was shaking for a good 10 seconds.

As for me, I dropped my loaded trailer off in Green Bay and picked up my current load in De Pere which I will deliver tomorrow morning in Urbancrest, OH. Best part is that it's a two stopper that delivers at the same place so I'll get an extra $20 for not moving, gotta love that. Since my reset last Wednesday, I have ran a total of 3326 miles. Tomorrow I will head down to Chillicothe, OH and taking that up to Stevens Point, WI.

On a serious note, I have no clue how many people read this thread or who does, but tomorrow marks the two year anniversary of the completely unnecessary shooting by the police of my friend and teammate Danroy DJ Henry in Westchester County, NY. The police and others in the justice department have been covering it up and now the truth is starting to come out. There are a bunch of articles out there, YouTube videos by DJ's father, and a Facebook group called The Absolute Truth for the Henry Family where you can follow everything. All I ask is for you to take the time to read up on this issue and keep the Henry family in your thoughts. They have been extremely strong through this entire situation and I know that the absolute truth will come out, we just don't know how deep this goes. Thank you, and God bless.

Great post! I've been reading it from beginning to current today. Just got my Pre-hire from H.O.W. today! Don't actually start school until the 29th. Was supposed to start this coming Monday, but got pushed back a week. I live in SW WI, so I'm excited about getting in with a WI company, especially one that seem to be getting the kind of driver reviews that H.O.W. does. So should be starting in Amherst the last week of November.. Man that seems like a lonnngg time from now..
Stay safe and keep up the posts
Hopefully we can run into each other sometime in Amherst.

Great to hear man, I'll actually be in Belmont tonight, don't know how close you are to there. I'm heading out to Arizona for Sunday.

According to my math, it looks like you need an average of almost 2600 miles per week to get the .045 quarterly bonus. Will that be obtainable for me just doing midwest regional?

I don't see why you couldn't but it all depends on your dispatcher and the freight in whatever particular area you are and how hard you want to run. I haven't talked to any Midwest regional drivers that I know, but it definitely seems attainable. If I were to do regional,I would do it out in the northeast as that's where the water is, and as my dispatcher puts it, "water pays the bills at Wolding" so that stuff is always moving. But being based in the midwest, they have plenty of freight there as well, but be ready to become best friends with Chicago, at least going around/through it. It's really not all that bad once you figure out how traffic flows. LA on the other hand, I don't think I'll ever figure that one out.

I'll soon be at Wolding too. I graduate Nov 10. I should be there last week of Nov or 1st week of Dec for orientation. Got my prehire a month ago. I live in NY so I was thinking of doing an extended regional of NE and maybe midwest...want to see the country. Not sure may just stick with NE. I'll have time to make my mind up at Orientation right? Also for orientation/last week training to test out, will we be outside for hours at a time like in school? Just so i know how to dress for winter.

Congrats bud, we have quite a few guys from upstate and hopefully you'll get my dispatcher. He'll keep you moving and preplanned in advance and he's very flexible. Real cool guy. You have until orientation to pick what you want to run, but can switch after you start as well. Just talk to your dispatcher. As far as being outside, oh yeah, bring warm clothes, you are outside quite a bit.

I guess I'm out from H.O.W. Did phone interview today and because my doctor did not list all my meds on my DOT physical long form, it was considered falsification. Even though I disclosed that I was taking the medications and the reasons. Very disappointed because H.O.W. was by far my top choice. But I guess it is what it is and will have to try to move on.
