I drove a 2010 with reefer i belive i could load 38k before things got tricky. I loved the truck the onguard on it was a pain in the a&&, i would catch cars on off ramps and over passes an it would throw the brakes on hard.

    My 2011 with a 2010, 475 Cummins engine is a good driving truck.I get 5.8 to 6.5 mpg.
Depends on how much i hang out in the left lane..
I have almost 300k on it so far but it has had a ton of problems with the DPF and EGR systems.

I have had about every make of truck and think the International is built about like a Freightliner....Neither would hold up well in the long term.
My boss is going to put us in Kenworths within the next year.

My ProStar with full fuel tanks (275 gallons) and a Great Dane reefer weighs 39,600 empty.

1,045,221 miles on the KW, just lookin at all my options before I pull the trigger on a overhaul.Just to be fair my local Freightshaker dealer is offering me a "too good to be true" deal on a cascadia with a D-16 thats probably not going to happen either,I'm just sniffin around to see what out there.

I would not go with anything DPF and thats 08-late 2010 I believe. Those year trucks can be a royal pain in the arse to deal with and there are threads that prove it. If you are happy with the KW, i'd do the overhaul.

I can fix the DPF/EGR problems, I'm curious about weight and ride and overall comfortand storage and such,I know that if it seems to good to be true it probably is.In reality I'll probably redo the KW, but it never hurts to look at all your options.

What do you pull?? If anything I would look at a T660 if you wanted to stick with Kenworth or 389 if you like Peterbilt.

The ProStar rides pretty good. The sleeper in mine has 4 cabinets on the walls that hold a ton of stuff.
Two cabinets behind the seats for hanging cloths and the other side for a fridge.
The TV stand has the plug ins right behind it and a 26 inch flat screen fits perfect.
Really it is a roomy and comfortable truck if you get the ProStar Premium package that includes a better interior and about 8 air adjustments on the seats.Mine has the back massager built into the seat that is pretty cool.

It is just the DPF and EGR problems that suck.
They do make an EGR delete kit for them if you don't run California.
