LOL all this talk about the atlas, you know what I use the good old state issued road maps, free with any stop at a rest area. Everything else I need is on the lap top or avalible by calling the DOT in the area for updates on restrictions ect. I have all the numbers in my organizer. If you have a laptop and get a pilot /FJ years sub for wireless, gmail has a free telephone thing on the email accounts good for all US and Canada and it is FREE. Notice how I like free things.

I didn't read the other posts, but I have a 3k power inverter, microwave, 12v kooltron cooler, I also have a 48quart regular igloo cooler, smart phone, tablet, with a generous data plan (20 gigs a month), I actually gave my truck gps away to a buddy, I always use google maps satellite view, saved my butt a countless number of times, you want a truck atlas as well for bridges, etc.

Few things I found helpful, antibacterial wetwipes, lots of water, gloves, first aid kit, cheap walmart tool kit, windex, paper towels, simplegreen, dust pan with broom. If youll be doing otr you want to keep some emergency food rations such as MREs etc for the winter months.

The rand Mcnally GPS is a hot item. Expensive but well worth it. Id say bring your own TP, which is toilet paper. A lot of these truck stops are brutal with the TP. Heres your roll of Badgers Arse,,,lmao

Worth every penny, even if you have to buy it, though (I got the last few editions of mine at at truckstops before I gave up long-hauling so I could have my life back).
