    Thank you I really needed to read that. Because I am having trouble with the pay scale. But I want to do OTR long hauls and possible teams. I need to earn 4K a month and I know that I can't make that right out the door. I drove for Greyhound on some very long hauls Chicago- Memphis and New York to Montreal just to name a few I can drive 10 hrs and I know the highways and byways. I believe if I could just get this gear thing down pat I'll do fine...thanks for the article.

    Well you know the Dept of Labor says the same thing...a great deal of drivers are coming off the road within the next couple of years and not enough new drivers to replace them...and as the economy grows more people who went to driving just to get a pay check will leave the industry. And young people don't want the job because of the long away from the party time...and no drugs of course.
