miles for flat is pretty steady, they keep me going. As far as reefer goes, lots of sitting and roehl doesnt know how to run a reefer division efficiently. Thats straight from a guy who did reefer for roehl but now works for a different reefer company. -
As far as the cameras are concerned we saw first hand how they work. They showed a video during the safety meeting about distracted driving. The camera is on about a 30 sec. loop and only keeps the last 30 seconds when a triggering event happens such as a hard brake. It shows what the driver was doing as well as what was happening outside of the truck. The video we saw showed a driver playing with his phone while overtaking another truck. The reason the video was captured was that he had to hard brake when he got too close to the truck in front of him. They aren't interested in watching you scratch your butt as long as it doesn't cause you to rear end somebody.

@ amgg...37 cpm is 1985 wages......NO PROFESSIONAL driver will work for those horrible wages.....As long as companies like swift and roehl keeps hiring schoolboys.... They will continue to be class less...

After 1 yr with Roehl I became an O/O Truck do 75 mph. 3000 to 3500 per week. At home on friday-sun out on mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat, sun, mon, tue, wed, thu and back home on friday. My 1st short week out bring $900 2nd full week out making 2k plus. truck fixed cost 460 per week. If you stay out the whole month you'll bring home 10k plus if you know how manage you 70 hours
-
You must be getting 10 mpg at least, With Roehls very low sliding pay scale for O/O's and thier horrible fuel discounts how can you be bringing home over 2K a week after fuel, taxes, plates, insurance and escrows?
-
actually more than that. I put away .06 for maintenance escrow and .10 for general escrow. Every week my both escrows round up about $500. I run my truck like the Company. I average 7.5 mpg per month. Roehl pays loaded miles b/t .93 and .97 plus .50 for fuel. For Empty miles you get .86 and .40 for fuel. My 2007 Columbia note cost $360 a week total expenses not including fuel a bout 460 a week.
