So I'm assuming. RTI is an ok choice, if a driver takes his own truck there? I'm neither here nor there. Been playing with the idea of getting another truck, but it's a different game out there now. Thought about getting my feet wet maybe under someone's lease deal...... I just don't know.

I have a former driver that is with them, he's very happy there. Running a dedicated account, gets home during the week and every weekend. He told me he was bringing home around 1100 per week. Doesn't seem so bad to me.

Under RTI's lease deal? And what is your former driver doing (labor wise) to make $1,100 with that kind of home-time?

Yeah, done the "finger print" floor loads a couple of times. Thanks for the input anyway.

Hi lilrobby. Thanks for all the good info. I've got a few questions for you:

Are the payments on the Petes the same as the Prostars?
Do they have a company garage or is everything done on the road & at dealerships? I looked them up on Google Maps and there is definitely no garage there!
How do they figure their FSC?
They list $175/wk for "Full Service Maintenance". Does this (and warranty) cover it all? Isn't there a maintenance fund deduction? .00825/mi is a lot less than any maintenance fund deduction I've ever heard of.
What is this .04/mi bonus comprised of? How easy/difficult is it to hit?
Do normal (non-dedicated) OTR drivers have to fingerprint loads? Or are lumpers always covered?
Can you fill in some of the details on this "variable cost" (per mile?) lease?
How many miles have you been averaging since you came on board?
What are the trucks governed at?
Is the physical just a routine doctor DOT physical? Or do they do those lifting/squatting type deals too?
Was the driving test just the routine around the block deal or more involved? After the past 3 years in autoshifts, I have some butterflies about that with a stick.
How many folks typically show up each week for orientation?
How much choice do you have in trucks?

Think that's all for now. I like to have all the details to make up my mind BEFORE I talk to a recruiter.

    kirk Thanks this.

as for the payments I am not sure. Ihave a 2013 prostar with single bunk and apu. and it costs $449.00 per week. They have a company garage in KC it is a couple of miles from the main office. The fsc is figured by how much you spend on fuel, the more per gallon you have to spend the more fsc you get,not just across the board fsc.the .04 is automatically given to you it shows up on your statement and it is fairly easy to get provided you run 10,000 miles a month.so far i have easlily got that .04. on the fingerprint loads they have tj maxx in which you do not have do them.lumpers are rare and covered when you use them.the variable lease is .212 cents a mile if you choose it. this is good if you dont plan to run over 8,500 miles a month like in December and November(holidays) or just want to be home a lot. you can also change it with some regularity.just a regular phyiscal and very easy driving test they know that you can drive so just around the block.did my backing without the trainer in there.the trucks are governed at 68 we had three people in our orientation, and you can pick your truck from what available at the time. hope this answers all of your questions, if you have any more you can contact me on this site i will get to them when i have time. this coming payday I am expecting a check for a little over $2,000 for about 2,900 miles while on elogs. this will be my second such check in a month.

I currently work for them. I am in the variable payment program. I have had a check EVERY week. The checks are sometimes as low as 500 and as high as 1300. Real world average will be about 1000 per week. No negative anounts on maintenance either. You pay 8 cpm and get a bumper to bumper warranty. You won't get rich, but you will make a paycheck.
