    No they are not.

If fuel surcharge for this week is .50 I will make $1.52 a mile loaded. (under my current load)

Hey do you get brand new trucks with lease? Also, is their a buyout at the end or is the truck yours? how long is the lease?

You can choose an older '07 or a new one. A newer one will of course have a higher down payment, higher weekly payments, longer term, and higher balloon payment.

At the end of the lease you pay a balloon payment and the truck is yours.

To give you a perspective I was going to by my truck, essentially a 2013 prostar with 65,000 miles on it.

My down payment was going to be $1500 followed by $750/week including insurances. The term was for 54 months, and a $15,000 balloon payment at the end. I opted to just stay company driver for now and was told if I keep driving this truck and after it crosses a certain mileage for instance 150k, then the payments would be significantly less.

Great information, did they run your credit for the truck?

No, no credit check. The leasing agency is a part of Roehl. Your credit score won't matter much since they are the ones leasing the truck to you and knowing you have a place of employment.

I assume the passenger and pet policies stay the same if you're leasing? Are you still forced dispatch? I remember someone sometime back mentioning percentage pay for flatbed, but I saw Lantern say he is on mileage. Is percentage still around?

Passenger policy is the same, pet policy is not. You are allowed to bring a pet aslong as it's under either 45 or 65 pounds. No you are not on forced dispatch, though they are recommending the "best" option for you (or the only load that comes up on the FM's computer). Yes percentage is still around, percentage avg is $1.57/mile with fuel surcharge added in. You can no longer claim tarp pay, tolls, etc etc. Essentially you can't claim anything on percentage and all of it comes out of your pocket. On percentage you don't even get prepass.

Except tarping, tarp pay is paid but not a set $ amount. You would get 100% of what roehl charges the customer for tarping.
