Hey thanks, what fleet are you in, how many miles while training?
-
I'm in the flatbed fleet in the western. My driver trainer was cool dude. The first 2 days we worked on trip planning, and sending message on the truckPC and after the 3rd to the last day of training I log in about 300 miles a day total of about 2400 miles.

Well my recruiter informed me today that my Phase One training will be in Ellenwood ... Yeahhh!
I've already set up my Physical with Roehl's designated clinic! Not wasting any time ... ready to "get this show on the road"!DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
In my 2nd week and ready to hit the road next week with a trainer. Looking forward to getting back on the road again. I was really surprised the eight day groups can't do a successful 45, supposedly they have been driving for at least 3 to 6 months, go figure?
Hope to get a trainer that wants to run hard.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Oh well...my recruiter said it would take at least 24 hours for them to hear back from my dot physical. (Had it yesterday...and got "another" med card. The doc checked me over and tested me pretty close and my shoulder didn't fail me!)
Maybe I'll call her tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear from her first to see when she plans to schedule me for Phase One.
While I am approaching my first year OTR as extended training, we all obviously want to be compensated reasonably well. My recruiter says as national van, I will start solo at $.32/mile, get a .02 increase at 3 months and another .02 at 6 months. After that said there are quarterly increases. Can anyone comment or add to this info?
Thanks! -
They raised the caps so their starting pay is higher now. You should get a 2cpm increase like she says you just have to follow three things, don't be late on a load, don't go over 70mph, and don't get into a wreck coating more than $2500 or so.
I think the new cap for van is 46cpm.

-
Doesn't matter what division you are orientation is orientation but I could be wrong they might not teach securement training there but not sure and no Roehl doesn't have automatic because they suck just kidding they just don't.
