STAY AWAY FROM AIT in Gardena. They are the worse school with and the trainers are nothing but people with thug mentality. GOOD WORD OF ADVICE THAT WILL HELP YOU SAVE MONEY!! Go to the dmv and get the book for free. Read it. Also I went to roadwars.com and studied all the test. Both are free. I passed them all. And then you can apply for some of the trucking school because you will have your permit. I went with central. And happy. As far as AIT. Just a freaking scam to get your money. Trainers ask one of the guys was he ratarded because he ask a simple question about when to turn the truck on corners. the same trainer on the first day behind a wheel. He left us alone to go talk to a HO as he stated. I am never one to complain. But Myself and a couple of other students all have talked about how bad the school was. SAVE YOUR money. study yourself. R. wars help me 1,000 times over. If you go to AIT you will seriously have trouble. I hope this works. Good luck.

Someone on another thread put, GFS-Los Angeles.

Roadmaster is rated as one of the top 3 in USA.

At you local unemployment office or dept. of labor, can apply for WIA-Workers Investment Act, which will pay for driving school.

Wow, seems like a horrible experience Snake Man. Chriszal, you have a few options:

United Truck Driving School (Santa Ana, although I heard they may have closed :-/ not sure though)
TGA Truck Driving School (El Monte)
California Truck Driving Academy (Santa Ana)

Visit the schools before you decide.

Not saying you can't find something else, but from experience, the $1,000 schools are just as bad as a scam as AIT is charging 8900-10,000 for trucking school. I say find something in the averages: 3,000 - 4,000

    Good luck.
