I drive by the Fort Worth terminal everyday as I go to work In Saginaw. Saw a lot of trucks sitting this morning. Still thinking of submitting an application but can't decide what I want to do when I grow up.

It could be that people are waiting on the results of the election, before they order more equipment. I know of one trucking company that has an order in for new trucks and trailers pending the outcome of the election.

I had the same thing happen to me Monday. Unloaded in Omaha, sat all day, then call at 4:30 to bounce all the way to Tulsa without a preplan. Loaded me out of there, and now things get back to normal. We'll see how it goes once I unload in Douglas, AZ.

You might get a deadhead to Laredo or Odessa if copper isn't moving. As for me they told me to go to Odessa after I got to El Paso and then things got ugly. The load that is, 60 pieces of little tiny randomly shaped pipes. Barely had enough straps, still not fully loaded and I was there from 9am to 6pm today.

I had one of those out of Paris one time. Such a pain....lots of belly wraps on that one. Beats sitting with nothing to do though, I guess.

I hope you put in for detention! I hate hauling that pipe!

After hauling crane parts to San Antonio I got a hot relay load from Pharr (brought to me in San Antonio) to Rockford, IL... then beatfeet it to Rockdale to get a load to SC... bunch of machines coming out of the plant to be refurbished. worst tarp job on these things.... Sitting in Spartanburg now for a reset.. leave out monday at 3am to make it there by 7EST for delivery at CAT in Sumter, SC.

Speaking of which.. is there any parking in Sumter at all that anyone knows of.. short of the walmart? I can't find anything on the net about parking and I suspect i'll be sitting half the day before getting a load.. which I suspect could be pipe out of performance... but only time will tell.
