I just got out of cdl school If I took a class B job and stayed, say a year, would that count as driving experience in getting a class A job?

Nope. Your Class A will be almost worthless with no class A experience. Plenty of good paying CDL-B jobs though.

Not only will it not count as experience but if you do decide to drive Class A you will have to go back through school again for a very expensive refresher course. You wasted a lot of money to end up driving Class B. You could have just went to the DMV, took the written test and got your Class B.

You sitll have to rent a truck and pass the driving and skills test. Though it's still a lot cheaper than the A

It might have slight variances by state but here is what it says for Oklahoma:
    http://www.dps.state.ok.us/dls/pub/NCDL.pdf

I have a class A with all but passenger/school bus endorsements. I have tractor trailer experience using the A but I have applied with companies that have B vehicles like the trash company and the cement company, however I have spoken with folks who work at both and they have class A vehicles like sand haulers, belly and end dumps.

Not 100% sure on that Wulfman. I believe all you have to do is pass the airbrakes part of the written exam. I could be wrong but I don't think you have to take an actual driving test to upgrade from a regular license to a Class B. If a Uhaul truck doesn't have airbrakes you can drive it without a Class B.
