Jvonfalk, sorry to hear that! How did you get scheduled for phone interview? They only told me to contact them once i get my road test date. Maybe I'll be scheduled then. What other company's are you considering now?
H.O. Wolding is a GREAT company!

Sorry to hear that, I know they are wicked strict about that stuff, but that's what it's come to today. I know when I had my blood pressure taken I had no clue what it said and when I handed in the long form for my school to fax and they looked it over and said it was high so I had to get it taken over again and if it was still too high then I probably wouldn't have been hired. Turns out the doc used the cuff he uses on everyone else and I've been an offensive lineman my whole life so he broke out the bigger one and all was normal.
Spending the night in Ottawa, KS and will be in Tucumcari, NM tomorrow night. Once I get to Bellemont, AZ I'll be heading to Temecula, CA for Tuesday morning delivery.Kutina Thanks this. -
Crazw, I have pre-hires from Roehl, Werner, John Veriha Trucking and a few others that I wasn't really considering before. I haven't even started school yet, start the 29th. I called the instructor at my school to see if this was going to be an issue that I wouldn't be able to get hired at all over and he assured me it would not be. So that's what I'm holding on to for now. Got ahold of my doctor and she is fixing my medical form to show all my meds and she is also going to attach letter to it explaining what they are for and that they don't affect my ability in any way to drive a truck. As far as the phone interview, I just called my recruiter and told her I was planning on coming there after school and she went ahead with the interview.
Thank god I have a supportive wife and family, I was pretty worried this morning. But I just have to keep my faith and everything will fall into place the way it is meant to. -
Wolding is a fair company from what I've experienced and as long as you get everything cleared up on all ends I don't think you'll have a problem. I'm also not the one doing the hiring so I can't tell you exactly how it will all shake out. Good luck bud, I'm pulling for ya.

In Flagstaff for the night, will head over to Bellemont after midnight when I get hours back and then I'll drop and hook and head out to Cali, looking to get a reset in before I head back east.

Getting unloaded in Temecula and after I'm MT I'll head over to Santa Fe Springs to drop and hook with a load going back to Omaha. Gonna take a couple of days off after I hook to it today and get to Omaha this weekend.
Kutina Thanks this. -
I'm all set for Dec 4th . Had phone interview. Now just have to make it though orientation and get officially hired.

Not sure I could work for a company that puts a heavy burden on bonus pay (around 12-15% of newbies pay). For example a newbie would get less then $.30s? And their bonus pay is less then $.04? Then only $.05 yearly in raises ...
From people I trust, they say that company is ok for regional drivers with alot of experience but want to be home every weekend ... real money is with other companies and in the oil fields.
Wish ya luck -
Congrats big guy, it's gonna all be about what you make of it. One of the biggest things that drew me here was the tuition reimbursement. Shoot for the big bonus it's an extra .045 cpm if you get it. All depends on who you get for a dispatcher how easy it is to get.
Once I deliver in Omaha, I'll head up to Mitchell, SD that delivers in Little Chute, WI on Monday afternoon.Kutina Thanks this. -
Made it to Cheyenne last night, 80 got a little interesting with some blowing snow and the ice on the road that it produced but I like driving in winter weather, I'm used to it, but I still don't like ice.
Getting fixed up right now in Ogallala, NE due to an air leak and of course it couldn't of happened during my pre trip but what can you do.
Found out that my load out of South Dakota is a two stopper with the first stop in Medford, WI and the final stop still in Little Chute.
