The ones I saw was about 70% table and 30% chair. Times, I agree tbat primetime be 6 to 10 pm. The family that was in petro in NJ had tables, right in middle of main hallway. Customer didn't disrobe any and was wide open to public view. Am sure no one ever asked for an happy ending! Watch over head cost and good luck! Sadly you will be out of my running area.

Have you considered offering your services atleast part time at a large corporate facility like Werner there in Omaha. As you should know, the support folks deal in a stressful environment as well.

Massage is a great idea. We all need it to relieve the aches and cramps. The comments about keeping it professional are well taken and doing so will serve you well. Good luck. I get a massage whenever I can and will be a patron if/when I can.

There used to be a lady that had a chair in the Petro in Atlanta. Can't really remember her hours but she was there quite a bit. It was out in the open, in kind of a dead space at the truck stop. It was very nice to get a back massage when I went through there. I would make a point of stopping in somewhere if I knew I could walk in and get one like before. I don't go through Atlanta anymore. When you do get setup, please post in here so we know where to find you.

Thank you Jazz leader. The TS you mentioned is all for my idea becauase they want to offer more services to their drivers and patrons. I have the professional attire you spoke of and agree that the more professionalism I project, the more respect I will gain. I could go anywhere and provide professional therapeutic massage...Im good at what I do because I care about the client and their conflicts whether muscular or joint...I chose to pursue the travel centers/truck stops because I have worked with drivers for over 25 years and enjoyed working with them very much...always tried to shine a brighter light for them knowing that they face a lot of conflict, stress, strain and challenges out there on the road with shippers and receivers, unrealistic dispatchers, and simply driving and spending so much time in the seat. I was good to the drivers who contracted with me and I know I can be and want to be of good service to them now in this field of massage and well being. Thank you for your vote of confidence...I'll fly with all the support and encouragement offered.
Have a great today!! Carla

Hi there XLSdraw...actually Werner is right across the interstate from where I will set up, and yes I will be promoting my services there. I was a dispatcher for Crete Carrier for several years, also Seward Motor Freight, then went into brokerage for a company out of Houston...was in transportation for over 25 years and decided to pursue this industry of therapeutic massage as I enjoy the healing arts. Thought it would be good to cater to drivers knowing the kind of stress and strain your bodies endure. I also considered going to Sapp Bros Corporate offices as well as Werner Enterprises since they are so close. Thank you for your suggestions...Im open to all suggestions, advice, guidance that I can get right now...I want this to be successful for everyone...that was always my motto when in brokerage..."there is enough pie for everyone to enjoy"...working in this field of massage, the drivers will benefit hugely because of the healing aspect that massage has on every system in the body, corporate personnel will benefit in helping to reduce mucle ach and pain and injury due to the stress they endure, truck stop employees will benefit, and I will manifest my dream to be of service for the higher good of all in whom I come into contact with. Thanks again for your "atta girl"...
Have a great productive day out there and stay safe! Carla

I am also starting a vendor program at a truck stop in Florida. I'm not offering massages, though. I'm a professional cartoonist/caricaturist. The service I am offering is original art ... full color 14" X 17' caricatures of truckers and their rigs. I've done a few of these before renting vendor space and the results encouraged me to set up a full time spot at a truck stop starting November 1st.
Still. I'd appreciate any thoughts pro or con from readers of this forum.

Hey there DesertNavigator...thank you for your input. Im excited to get my center up and going...hopefully my go live date will be first week in Nov...take good care and stop in if you are ever running across Nebraska on I-80 near Omaha.

Gus...from one new vendor to another...all the best to you and your vision...I used to live on Galveston Island and there was a cartoonist/caricaturist set up on the Strand...he was always busy. I think you'll do great. When are you opening your gig? Im hoping to have my massage center opened by the first week in Nov.
Take care and good luck to you! Carla
BTW...is the photo on your profile a caricature of you?
