Looking good! Now all you need to do is move the tanks back and mount some boxes under the doors...

Only lowering the front will change your driveline angles. Might be a bit hard on the u-joint at the front drive.

thanks for the replies guys in terms of driveline angle i might be actually better then when i first started as the truck sat higher then the rear in the first place.

now it only has a slight rake nothing out of this world. i havent gotten her up to highways speeds but i lowered the front of a 97 379' pete i had 5" truck had the non low air leaf suspension so when i pulled out the front blocks it had a bigtime rake and was to high in the rear but never had any driveline issues with the angle i had on that setup. But thanks for chiming in but its just not so. She has new spicer joints and center bearing so i dont think they would be crying anytime soon.

LES2 yup i would like to find the smaller boxes that come on my year SHAKER as they are smaller and dont come out as far as the newer 91' and up side boxes. i would also probably cut down the tanks to 100 gal instead of 140gal so that they wont come out so far past the back of the sleeper. This way i can run a true 8" rodd and pickett style exhaust like ive been wanting FLAT top or DONKEY still debating but they will for sure be the TALL ONES i dont want no short pipes. But this mod wont come till further down the line.

my next step will be to Flat black the chassis on the truck and rear diffs. Then i would like to get a catwalk plate setup deleting the factory battery box which only holds 3 and adding either a custom or a plastic between the frame rails century battery box to take box out of view to the eye. then build a catwalk around or over it, then a coffin box to have electrical plug and air lines come out of there for a nice clean look.

Want to build some rear chassis ramps for getting under low equipment. Hopefully sometime i can get the stand alone AC system im planning on implementing on my truck as well. other then that shes coming togetjer slowly but surely.

AND i bet no one noticed my truck sits the way it does and its on 11x24.5 BIG RUBBER.... no go on lil 22.5 low profiles i couldnt give up my factory original alcoas for anything else. i just hate small wheels. i love how my fender gap is now filled.

Just changing tire size on the steer affects the driveline angle. It might not hurt anything. When I lowered the front end of my old '73 Torino, it changed the driveline angles. It'll be the same effect for the class 8.

I drove a 379 that had the front fenders and bumper lowered. Kind of the same effect.
